The two young female staff members that checked us in were really great some of the best we have had. but sadly the older staff members made us feel like kids. Checking up on us that we were using the kitchen correctly asking if we had turned the oven off etc among other things. I understand that some guests may like that but we didn't as we are not that young. We also didnt like that you couldnt use the oven or stove in the morning. not a bad hostel but needs a few rules changed or fixed.

Location is superb, opposite a lake. Just that first time, finding it is difficult. But once you are used to the route, its fairly simple n close to rlwy stn thru a short cut route. While they don't have breakfast, they do have adequate kitchen facilities.

Overall it was solid so I have nothing to complain about. Everything was new and clean, and the room was spacious and had a little balcony with a view of the Alps. It was a bit of a walk from the train station and the old city, but Luzern is small anyway, so it wasn't a big deal. It wasn't one of those amazingly fun hostels where you meet and go out with cool people you'll remember forever; it was one of those hostels that's a reliable place to lay down your gear and sleep at night.

Wifi works only in the reception room. That's very bad!

People there were sooooo nice and we felt warm from outside to inside immediately when we stepped into the place. Luzern was also a very nice place to visit. Perfect!

Required more walking than I've anticipated when I first went there, but the environment was so good and relaxing! The bathrooms and toilet were really clean. The wifi was not so good though.

i stayed a 2 bed female dorm is really big and clean but just a bit dark when you walk to the toilet but is ok. You can walk there from the train station around 10minutes and the lake lucerne in front of the backpackers was really nice. Will come back and stay with them as is convenient and not dangerous. Have a stay and you will like it!
