nice and close to a supermarket, good outdoor kitchen, helpful staff, not very close to the national park but easy enough to get around because the bus stops right infront of the hostel. you have to wear a gay wristband though, that sucks. other than that it was good

We stayed at this place for 2 nights and had a great time. The rooms and rest rooms were clean. Great pancakes+coffee. They have hammocks and a pool to relax. The hostel is right next to the bus stop to the national park. Staff were very helpful. We enjoyed staying at this place and will surely recommend it to others!

I am voluntaring in Nicaragua, and went to Manuel Antonio for my vacation week. Backpackers Manuel Antonio is a nice hostel, it's cleen, has a nice outdoor kitchen and it's easy to get to the national park, to the beach and to Quepos. Not a lot of fun at the hostel while I was there, but I met some nice people and we had a great time at the beach and in the area around. iPura Vida! Kristine, Norway

A great and clean hostel. Staff was very helpfull, free breakfast every day :D Close to the beach, just pay 235C on the bus and you´re down at the playa i a few minutes. The only bad thing is that there is no locks on the doors to the dorm rooms.

This hostel had a really good atmosphere. It was easy to find and the bus stop was literally right outside the hostel. The staff was very helpful in answering any questions. It was very close to the supermarket and many different restaurants. The only thing I would have liked was AC because it was really hot and stuffy in the room. Also there are no locks on the dorm rooms but it ended it being fine and I felt safe there.

This was the best hostel I stayed at on my trip to Costa Rica. the kitchen outside was very handy and the grocery store was half a block away. The pool was small but it did the trick on a humid muggy day. I wouldnt however recommend the trail to the beach, it was pretty sketchy. Just `pay the 40 cents and take the bus.

Clean. With lots of amenities like free international calling, free internet, free breakfast and a pool. Backpackers is probably the best value for money in all of Manuel Antonio. That said, the rooms are depressing and the location is absolutely horrible. It takes about 30 minutes of uphill climbing to get to the hostel from downtown Manuel Antonio. Your other alternatives are to take a bus into and out of the town (which costs 200 to 500 Colones each way and comes every 30-45 minutes)

The staff was really nice and it was easy to request things without them getting mad. International calls are free for the first 10 minutes (awesome!!). The pool was a little walk down a hill but not too bad. There were ocean views from the pool tho. Very pretty. La playa principal and the national park is close by use. The fare is 200c (or about 40 cents USD). I would definitely go again!!
