This is a great place! The pool has a great view, three great eateries upstairs, and comfortable private rooms at a very affordable price. The staff was the best! Especially a girl named Cecilia who went above and beyond to ensure we got the best deals on tours we were interested in and always had great suggestions on where to eat, drink, and be merry!!! I'd say the only thing is that you still need to take a taxi to the beach but other than that it's a great place and I'd stay here again!

The kitchen could have been stocked a little better. The fridge barely kept things cool and they are low on cooking supplies and utensils.

Most everyone staying there cooks yet the owners have provided very few pots. The few aluminum pots and frying pans that they have do not have proper lids. Aluminum is not good to use from a health standpoint. The electric griddle that everyone uses to fry the pancakes in the morning are of the non stick kind with most of the teflon gone from constant use. The owners should provide stainless steel pots and frying pans and the electric griddle should be replaced.

The staff was super nice, especially the owner. The computers don´t have Skype abilities but they´ll let you make a 10 minute call to wherever for free. It´s a wee bit of a party hostel (loud music, drunk people stumbling back from bars at night), but the location is great, breakfast is free, and you can´t beat the price. Highly recommended - just bring a set of earplugs. Pura vida!

It seems that this place caters to Ticos. There were a bunch of Ticos teenagers there screaming all day and night that was how they were talking to each other, basically screaming. They had no manners. They will come in at 1:00 or 2:00AM, turn on the light and keep talking (I mean screaming) to each other as if there were no one else in that room. In addition, they were sleeping two in a single bed, not just one of them, but all of them. I have never seen that done before. I moved out the next d

I stayed in the large women's dorm. Beds were pretty comfortable and the room had a number of fans that we could turn on at night. Made a big difference for sleeping comfortably. Pretty cool that there was a pool that hostellers could use. Facilities were pretty dirty though and I found later that the hostel was understaffed, which was also why they couldn't open the bar by the pool. Great location though - right by the bustop to get to Manuel Antonio park and to Quepos. Staff were helpful.

Very clean and good value however the staff were rude and unhelpful. It appeared that they disliked their job which is unusual for a hostel. Little atmosphere.

The hostel was definitely fine for what you paid, but there was no character or fun at all. There seemed to be a bar down at the pool, but there was never anyone down there. Also, we booked a tour with the hostel for Manuel Antonio park and felt like we got ripped off. We didn't get everything included in the overpriced tour and felt like the whole situation when we got down to the park was very sketchy and they were just trying to sell us off to other tour guides because we had a small group.

It is very far away from the Park and beach ( or restaurants and nigh-life) , but I guess the price is fair. The staff is extremely nice and helpful. I would definitely recommend it, except for the Location.

This is a great hostel to stay at if you're in Manuel Antonio. It's a 5 minute bus ride from the national park (250 colones) or 10 minute bus ride from Quepos. The hostel itself attracts other fun folks... it has a bar, swimming pool, and restaurant. The view from the pool is pretty amazing. Only downside is all the washrooms are shared so it can get dirty quite quickly... would suggest that there be cleaning staff in the evening to clean the bathrooms. Overall, we had a great time! :)
