This hostel was a good place. Only had one night there but the staff member who was around was very nice. She was very helpful and was a bit of a laugh too. Great location if you want to go to Miyajima. 4.5 out of 5. Surprisingly good nights sleep in a dorm.

absolutely one of the best backpacker hostel I've been so far! great atmosphere, great facilities. it seems that the owner with the other guys just can't do enough to make you feel like home! and also the location is perfect, right in front of Miyajima island and next to the best hiroshimayaki place....you couldn't ask more

really cool hostel, perfect for visiting the island. It is brilliantly located near the ferry port, staff were fab, had a nice table area with chairs and sofas, then a mats area with a tv which was good for separating people who wanted to chat/computer-ise/watch a movie. Bed's were big and comfy and the dorm was split up into 4 bed sections. Only gripe would be lack of eating options near-by but nowt to do with the hostel. loved this place and would come again.

This was a great hostel with lots of character and style. The staff and the long term guests all had a great advice about where to go, what to see and how to get there. The hostel is a 25 minute train ride (on the JR line) outside of Hiroshima. It is literally a 30 second walk to the ferry to the island of Miyajima. A must see if you love Japanese culture. Overall I would recommend this hostel to anyone who is going to Hiroshima. It is good value for money and you'll have great memories.

The hostel has a great atmosphere, relaxed, welcoming and inclusive. Some of the other guests were really loud at night though, but that can happen anywhere. Great place and highly recommended

This hostel is by far one of the best I've ever stayed in. The staff is amazing, and the cookouts are wonderful! The place is perfectly set up for any traveler's style. My first night there I went to bed early, around 9 pm; the second night, I was one of the last people up. It was easy to hang out with everyone, and it was equally as easy to work on what I needed to and stay to myself if I needed. The easy access to Miyajima Island and to the train station can't be beat, either.

This is probably one of the best hostels I've ever stayed in!! The place is beautiful (I wouldn't mind buying a little island :-)), the staff is really nice and they have activities every night... Very helpful and it's a great place to make new friends from all over the world. I would definitely recommend it to everyone that is going to Japan.

we had an incredible time here. The staff were amazingly friendly and helpful! Dorm rooms were great value for money and it`s really handy for Miyajima. One of the best hostels we`ve stayed in in Japan.

The hostel has a good location and the people there are very friendly. The only downside is having to pay for showers and internet (there is free wifi though), and I didn't find sleeping on the tatami mats very comfortable.

I spent a wonderful 20-day stay in this friendly hostel in which I felt like home with my "family". Great location 100 meters from the ferry to Miyajima Island. Yummy BBQ with lots of people. Common room with dozens of movies. Lockers provided perfect for safety. The Japnese style dormitory is a must try. Staff is willing to help you beyond the call of duty. Perfect place for solo travelers to meet other people.

Strange place, the room I was in was just a large dojo type room where up to 8 people slept on the floor, it was a little bit exposed, and quite uncomfortable compared to a lot of the places i stayed in. There were some bunks available, but i guess they were all taken when i checked in. Everyone in the hostel speaks really good english so, that's great for letting you know about places, and the place was clean, and great for getting to Miyajima island, and 20 minutes from central hiroshima.

Staying at Miyajima Backpackers was an amazing experience, the staff is awesome!

Perfect located close to the ferry to Miyajima and the street car/train station to Hiroshima city. This Hostel is a very cozy place to stay. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Often they organize socializing dinner evenings or trips with the guests.

The staff was incredible!! They were so much fun, very helpful, they fed us lots of delicious food when we were out of money, they gave us lots of advice for the rest our trip around the world, and they made our visit so amazing. Thank you guys, we hope to see you again sometime!!

The hostel had a super location to Miyajima Island (right by the harbour). The staff was really friendly and helpful even with organising accommodation and transport for my continuous trip. We also had a great BBq in the evening (for free) and also breakfast! I can highly recommend this hostel because it's really nice!!!

The location is perfect, the accommodations wonderful and the staff even better!! I highly recommend Backpacker's Miyajima to everyone.
