Absolutely beautiful place. The chilled out, peaceful vibe, the incredibly helpful and kind staff. Ten minute walk to the beach, though I spent quite a bit of time in the hammock in the backyard. It's literally a tucked away paradise, and I could stay there forever. In fact, one of the guys staying there had extended his stay for a good while. The bliss is infectious. Never wanted to leave.
Amazing place. All the time I wondered, is it a hostel for 1,000 Ksh? Location is excellent for beach but for town you need to take a matatu (40 or 50 KSh) or a tuk tuk (500 KSh). The included breakfast is ok and you can also order meals, good and cheap. The only bad thing was that wifi does not work, technical problems...
Backpackers Nirvana was an oasis for me, after spending a lot of time in crappy hostels. The hostel is very cozy, with a pool, a roof deck, a nice DVD collection, and lots of space to relax (and soon a volleyball court!). And the location is great; the beach is an eight minute walk away, and you can easily catch a matatu into town or to City Mall. But what really made the visit was the wonderful staff. Lesley, Charity, and the girls really made everyone feel at home. They truly are the best!
Really enjoyed staying there. 11 points out of 10 :) Ralf from Estonia
