The Staff were quite terrible. Surly,impatient, unhelpful, and just plain rude. Simple requests seemed like too much effort for them and we got irritated short answers or mumbling in Portuguese. The shower/toilet situation was woeful - a private room, a double and an 8 bed dorm has to share one shower/toilet which are in the same room in the dorm! And they were not cleaned. The general cleanliness wasn't great either which decreases the value for money as this hostel is $$$. What a pity.

Great if you´re looking for surf and a party hostel, right on the beach.

I extend the days here! Breackfast its awesome and free! Theres a Cool and nice staff, very good ambient, beyond we are of different countries and ages, we had a exelent ambient and common living. Hostel view its exelent: you got a preference's first class seat to ocean, morro and the Barra de lagoa's town. Location its great, just cross bridge to the bus , but keep on mind, its a hostel, the privacy never its the core; and bathrooms are god, clean but simples. Im thinking in come Back next year

AMAZING! extended my stay. was paying $38us a night as it was over newyears period and it was worth every cent. the staff are so helpful and lovely. the food, both breakfast and their cheap ($5) dinners just fantastic. free drink everynight, super easy to meet new friends. favourite place in S.A by far. Floripa + Sharehouse = Paradise!

Was definitly one of the best weeks in Brasil. The hostel has a really excellent atmsphere. It is somewhere where you can chill and socialise at the same time. Definlty the best hostel i have stayed it. Thankyou for an excellent week!

We stayed at the Backpackers Sharehouse over Christmas. This hostel had a lively and friendly vibe. The staff were really helpful and the type of people that the hostel attracts are great fun loving, party people. The hostel organises parties and transport to clubs every night. Drinks are cheap and at times free. Close to the beach. Would highly recommend staying here. Keep in mind this is not a quiet hostel for those who like their early night sleep.

Great hostel. Fantastic views over the beach and good common areas and kayaks and beach toys. The kitchen is small but well equipped and the family dinners are delicious, as are the free capirinhas! The staff are brilliant and really helped us out. Would definitley recommend this hostel, especially the private room with balcony and views over the beach.

When considering how long you would like to spend in Floripa. Calculate how many nights you might think...and then add a couple more. I garrentee you will fall in love with this magical part of the world. What makes this hostel so great is not only its beachside location but the people running it. The staff are all so friendly, funny, knowledge, helpful, and caring to their guests. You are sure to meet great people staying here too. Ohhh and the Floripa girls cannot be matched.

Excellent Hostel; one of the best locations possible, with amazing views, incredibly cheap and wonderful organised dinners and plenty of free equiptment to borrow like surfboards (only one was in decent shape though) sandboards, beach gear ect. Ultra friendly staff and very helpful; wonderful family atmosphere and our favourite place in Brazil! Was very clean and quiet after 12am!

best hostel in sth america, great atmosphere, great location, excellent food, the staff are always willing to do that extra bit, heaps of free stuff , and the bar goes off, anyone going to florianopolis there is only one place to stay...backpackers sharehouse

not such a great hostel... location is good and staff is friendly, but 1) the rooms are not that clean and the bathrooms are really poor, and 2) the "parties" they organize at nights are a scam (one night they took us to what was supposed to be a "luau" to a beach with no drinks, lame music, no lights, no bathroom and no nothing -- only the entrance fee!-- ). If you stay here, don't go to party at night with them, just take the local bus and go to town, get some real floripa at night experience!

great location and great view of the beach from common areas. good breakfast, including seasoned tomatoes for breakfast sandwiches and fresh juice. hot showers, decent kitchen, good wi-fi. friendly staff, comfortable common areas, free drink every night. we also had the private room with private balcony overlooking the ocean, very nice (looked like dense populations in dorms, but think that's the norm in brazil). shared bathrooms always clean!

Great Hostel, they gave us a 6 bed dorm to ourselves for the 5 days we were there. The dinners were amazing on the nights that they cooked for everyone, it was all you can eat at reasonable prices. I would go back!

Amazing place, with perfect view of the beach and the village. Delicious breakfast, lot of fun and friendly staff! I loved it!

Everything was well! The hostel was clean, the beds and showers were good. It was easy to walk through the city leaving the location of the hostel...had a lot of nice travelers, good for making friends! I really liked!

It was very quiet and the weather was bad when I stayed at Share House but the hostel made a great effort to entertain the guests with a bus tour of the island and a BBQ night at their brother hostel Sunset. The staff knew everyones name in the hostel and I felt as if they´d always known me. If feijoada is made in the hostel then don´t forget to sign up, it was amazing.
