Backpackers Space was definitely a great find! The location was perfect as it was less than a 10 min. walk to both the subway & the sky train for the airport. There were tons of restaurants & bars around yet we never heard any noise as the hostel is tucked away in a corner. The only thing that was only so-so was the bathroom... It was a little run-down & the hot water took a while to come on. Other than that, it was great & I\'d recommend it to a friend any day!

Jay was super accomodating and laid back. Right down the road from the best clubs and bars in Hongdae. Clean, maintained, bathrooms, rooms, beds, linens included. The beds are comfortably firm. Two complaints: 1. The room air is VERY stuffy at night. Ask roomnmates if you can keep door opn.From a nearby street, soft music goes on till 6am. Bring earplugs. 2. 1 bathroom for 18 beds -- so don't stay here, or set expectations if you see the place mostly booked out for the days you want to stay.

I often stay here because it is close to the main party area yet still quiet. the hostel owner is also nice and welcoming. the only downfall is one bathroom, aside from that it is a great place!

The guy who runs the building is super friendly and helpful.

My second visit to this sleeper, I stayed in the six-bed dorm. Perhaps the best price-to-location-hostel one can find in the Hongdae area; the fact that there is only one bathroom is small beer. Friendly, unobtrusive owners and a generally comfortable feel. Bravo!

Brilliant location but there has got to be more toilets for a place with a maximum capacity of 18.

My friends and I rented the four-person bedroom, and we were very happy with the hostel. The guys running the place were super nice, spoke Eng/Japn, and were quite helpful with trip-planning. The hostel itself was a little difficult to find the first time around, but it was easy enough to get to once we knew the location, and it\'s super close to a subway station. As the hostel site says, it\'s right smack in the middle of a lively area great location. I think it has reasonable prices, too.

It was winter, so I could not check if the air-condition works. But in the big sleeping room there was an air-conditioning system installed.

I had a very good experience and recommend the Backpackers Space. Great Location; it is just off one of the main streets in Hongdae. The area is full of restaurants and bars. The hostel itself is on the smaller side; not a bad thing. The six person mixed dorm, has a separate area with a vanity and two mirrors, which was great to get ready in if the bathroom was occupied!

The owner is very friendly and helpful. The main problem with this hostel is despite the fact that there is at least a dozen beds, there is only 1 bathroom, so things can get a little tense in the mornings!
