hostel was nice but i cant say the same for the city of hamburg..i felt like i was the only tourist in the city. there were more street walkers than there were tourists in reeperbahn. well it was winter period when i visited but a city like hamburg could attract more people.

This is an nice hostel with a different style. The room is clean with individual toilet and bathroom. The staff is friendly and very helpfull, they gave us all information we needed about places to go, eat, where to avoid and everything. The cost is low for a good service.

For some reason our beds were occupied by other guests on the second of our two nights. That made the night clerk give us an ad hoc upgrade from our 8-bed dorm to a 6-bed dorm. Having tried both dorm types, we now know that the ones with fewer beds are worth every additional euro, even if we were lucky enough to not get charged for the upgrade.

Nice hostel! Very clean and safe! In a nice area, maybe not so central to the city, but very close to all the clubs in the Reeperbahn area. The hostel wasn't so fun! It's in a residential area, so you are not allowed really to make noise. You don't get to see so much people, and there's not really a central, longe area. The staff is very nice! And WiFi in all the rooms also!! Maybe for this price of the rooms they could also include breakfast.

Hostel is a little out of the way. The nearby area is nice, but it's not tt Central. Place is super quiet as well and a little cramped. But, guess it's an okay place to rest your head at night.

It's a pretty nice hostel in a good neighbourhood for vintage shops and cheap eats. The old town isn't a far walk either if that's what you want. Breakfast isn't included and is a rip off for 4eu, just go to the local shops and buy stuff. The 8 bed dorm was a bit cramped at times but nothing too horrible. The staff are nice, the rooms and bathrooms were clean and looked after and it always felt safe!

The staff was helpful - especially a blond lady with a nose ring. The rooms lacked power supplies, so that there was a small queque charging your items. Breakfast option was very basic but luckily there is a buzzling hippy neighbourhood with lots of cafes and restaurants there at a 7-10 min walking distance.

WOW! Best Hostel in Hamburg EVER! The staff is incredibly friendly, helpful and cool! On my 4th mornin, there were no bed available anywhere in Hamburg: I had no bed for the night The Boss and the employee helped me find me a room somewhere, but no luck So they offered me to sleep in the Lounge: it was a lifesaver! The rooms are very clean It's a very nice place to meet other backpackers and people to hang out with! I recommend this hostel to everyone When I'll go to Hamburg, I'll go to St-Pauli

Great place to stay if you want to explore St Pauli. Although St Pauli is very busy, the backpacker is located in a relatively quiet part of the district and so your also able to find some sleep there (beside party).

Great lockers where we could fit our bags. It was a bit tricky finding the hostel after taking the bus, but then again we searched for it in heavy rain and darkness. The location is great if you are visiting St Pauli, with food and bars near by. The hostel also sell bear and other refreshments until 2400 in a lovley little reception with beautiful paintings on the walls. The afternoon staff was helpful and positive!

this hostel had a good overall atmosphere and a nice bar area to hang out. like another reviewer has suggested, there was a lack of leaflets in English and also we felt a lack of information therefore leaving us feeling alittle isolated. staff were not overly enthusiastic but helped us when we needed it.

Staff was very friendly and generally speaking the location is good. Unfortunately the "kitchen" was very small and dirty. We didn't want to use it.

I was absolutely shocked with the help from the staff. If you asked anything about the city they didnt know where things were and it was an effort for them to help you. One lady in particular, an older lady who was on in the mornings, it was a huge effort for her to do anything, and you could tell she wasnt happy helping you. Also the leaflets were all in german, obviously that fine, but you need some in english. It seemed as if there wasnt much to do in Hamburg due to there not being leaflets
