Our stay at Backpacker Sunset was very good !! The Hostel is well situated, near the Lagun and near the Beach as well! You've got a free Capirihna everyday. The bar and the restaurant provide you good foods and cocktails for a good price. Everyday the staff offer you to do an activity and to go out in a special place at night (with a bus with music and lights like night club! so much fun). I do recommend this hostel !! very good ! thanks a lot we had a good time !!

Great view from the deck, nice bar/restaurant. transfers with bus are paid - looks a good idea but not being used properly.

Very nice hostel, the biggest one I stayed in yet. Very close to Molebeach which is very nice. They arrange great parties and the breakfast is good. As well is the lunch though it´s a little expensive. Make sure you book for a couple nights in advance ´cause I can guarantee you will want to stay longer but if you do it by night you will have to change rooms and check in and check out every day. The staff is very nice!

Booked 1 night and stayed over a week like everyone else. Hostel is 2nd to none. Amazing staff always ready and willing to help. Beds, rooms, bathrooms all A+. Everyday there were day and night activities arranged. One of the best beaches on the island is less than 5 mins walk away. Always a great atmosphere at the bar with an incredible view of the lake and a free Caipirinha to enjoy each night. Highly recommend but prepare to find it hard to leave.

A simply amazing place. Who visits is impressed with the perfect view of the lagoa da conceição. The staff is very attentive and excited. The rooms are good with many bathrooms. Definitely the best hostel in Brazil.

Overlooking Lagoa, and within close walking distance of the beach, Sunset is a large resort style hostel, with staff keen to organise club nights and day trips. Nice building, with a little pool and a leafy garden feel to it. Decent, if a little bit pricey food. Staff were fun and helpful, though it seems like they were undervalued by the changing management. Bathrooms a bit short on supply, and it could have been cleaner in places.

One of the best Hostels i've been, ever! Bathrooms were not that great and the kitchen quite bad equipped, but the Staff, Atmosphere, parties and stuff to do everyday, nature around it and people you meet there... It totally makes it worth! ;)

Really nice hostel with beautiful view overlooking lake with decent bar/ restaurant atmosphere. This was VERY much a party hostel, so if you are looking for a quiet environment for a full night sleep this is prob not the place for you. There is a younger crowd that goes out partying most nights a week, some of which continue their rowdiness from 5-7 am. The free breakfast is definitely above average with a variety of fruit, breads, juices.

I loved the view and location. Easy access to bus terminal and beaches. Friendly staff. I didnt like that we had to wear a wrist band the whole time but I understand the purpose.

The pub and the pool are really good, the hostel looks and feels great, too bad that the doorms are crowded, The beds are uncomfortable, and there aren't enough bathrooms. Breakfast is really good too.

Nice and friendly hostel very well located between beaches (excellent surfing) and lagoon (excellent wind and kite surfing and nightlife). However distances are long by foot, typically 30min+, buses not so frequent... so it would be gorgeous if bike rental could be organized by hostel, perhaps with discount prices for several days... The cleanliness of the kitchen could be improved a bit. And : surf board rental is great idea but should at lesat include some long boards ! (good for beginners)
