Really nice bar, but a bit expensive.. awesome view and atmosphere and a lot of stairs.Close to the beach on walking distance,but a bit far from the action... anyway, wouldn´t go anywhere else.... badass hostel! Cheers!

Amazing vibe with incredible staff. Had the best 4 days in Floripa! Absolutely perfect location, 5 minutes walk from Mole beach and great views from the bar/pool area. Everyone there made the experience top notch! Definitely recommend to anyone

solid hostel. lots of party people when i was there. english speaking staff that were reasonably helpful. a bit loud at nights if you want to get some shut eye, but a great place to meet some people to party with. awesome location close to the beaches and pretty good dinners for good value.

Everything about this hostel makes it worth staying here, the awesome views, the parties, free caipirinha every night....but the best thing about this hostel is the staff. Don't bother looking anywhere else. Stay here !!

The best hostel I have stayed in, FACT. The staff are so helpful and friendly and get everyone involved in the fun. Great food, beautiful location and if you find time to sleep the bedrooms are lovely and serviced every day. Miss it already, coming back for Carnival!

The Hostel's Location is just perfect, wonderful view on the lagoon. BUT I CAN'T RECOMMEND this hostel. It is the most chaotic organisation I have ever experienced. The personnel is not trained, just everyone can work there, this results in chaos and nobody as a clue what to do& they don't have a proper accountancy. This results, that guests get more charged than they normally have to pay. The guest kitchen is more than dirty & the organised dinner are sometimes do not take place without notice.

Would totally recomend this hostel. We had a great time. The staff were really friendly and all the guests hung out together. Security, cleanliness and location were all great. Do some research as we heard there were a couple of other hostels that were also great but a lot cheaper.

Sheets clean but with holes on it. Kitchen without pans and dirty. Nice view, very good location, nice people. /it´s easy to park infront of the hostel. Sabanas rotas pero limpias, necesita una mayor limpieza y una puesta punto de los banhos. La cocina no tiene cazuelas y esta sucia y muy abandonada.

Great hostel, gret location. This is the place to be if your a surfer or if you like to party!

Nice location cool staff. Kitchen wasn't great. Travelled South america for 8 months and for the price wouldn't recommend it. If you just want to get pissed and party maybe but in my view the owners need to change some things.

Just as you step into Backpackers Sunset you start feeling real good. Two steps down and you are amazed with a view that we have only seen before by magazines photos and pictures. The staff is really amazing and there's lots of parties, barbecues, free caipirinhas and the most wicked sunset ever! Highly recommended!!

Great view, decent rooms, entertaining staff and a very welcoming environment in general.

We were all really sad to leave Sunset! We had a fantastic time! The views are amazing, the staff are all soooo friendly and the hostel is such a fun place. Mole beach (the nicest beach on the island) is only a 2 minute walk away and the bus stops right outside the hostel so it is super easy to get into town.

After travelling the continent for 7months this is by far the best hostel i have stayed in, the staff are more then helpful with any needs i had an they are good at organising beach trips, transfers an information for parties it has an awesome view over looking the lake with a wicked sunset as well as a quick walk to one of the best beaches for surfing an chilling out in the sun, an the free caiprinha Cheers guys it was the best an i will be back sooon yeow!!!!!

The best hostel I have ever stayed in. I have been in many hostels around the world, but I rarely give reviews. This hostel deserves one though. I came thinking I would only stay 3 days. Weather was horrible even. But the staff were so nice and there was so much fun that I kept extending my stay. In the end I stayed here for 2 weeks, and will definitely stay here if I ever come again. The view is magnificent. One of the best beaches on the island is 5 minutes walking.You wont regret coming here!

The guys are polite, especially Carol, excellent in the treatment and education. But it was absurd when we arrived. They got us a room with only glass doors and no curtains and there was a dog in of one of the beds and the room was dirty. We were transferred from this room with no problems, but they charged the difference of what I had reserved. Cleaning the rooms are terrible. At no time has been changed bedding and the trash in the room was several days without being collected.

Lovely place - had some great parties and the beds were really comfortable. Florianopolis is a great place. Have to get the bus to places but no hassle there. You'll get pretty fit going up and down from your room though!
