A great little hostel. Central and easy to find and access the city. A nice mix of short and long term backpackers makes it feel like you're visiting your mates rather than just renting a bed. Backpackers on Dundas is a happy place to be!

Lots of long stay residents in this hostel - stuff all over the floor - so it cannot be cleaned. I don't mind people coming into hostel rooms late at night be they tend to talk in the dorm - at 5 in the morning. As a plus - the internet is free and gernerally was not being abused. Staff members asked boss what they should do cleaning-wise and were met with shrugs of shoulders. Kitchen is tiny. Shame as the location could make this a good enough hostel.

People screaming all night long in the hall till 5 am in the morning wasn't that much of a success in getting a night sleep after a long travel

Very dirty hostel. They didn't vacuum our whole stay and the bathrooms are gross! They also have a lot of long term stays which makes it was very uncomfortable to use the common areas and created a not very welcoming atmosphere.

the worst hostel i stayed in, im a well travelled australian, and this is the worst in all of north america !!! unless you like cold showers, really unclean place, and especially unsafe (there was no security lockers left as there are more beds than lockers)

WOW! And not a good wow! The staff were indeed very unprofessional, largely due to the fact she was also staying there. Did nothing to keep her friends quiet when there was screaming, yelling and singing till 9am! The place is very small so it get\'s disgusting really quickly and a hot shower?? Forget it! Also this \"we keep the dorm doors locked\" thing not great when the main doors a kept open when the boss isnt looking! Basically dont waste your money here, other locations are just as go...More
