Good location but difficult to find, door opens onto stairwell with giant pile of rubbish bags. Friendly staff but not effective. Dirty dishes in kitchen, dining table & common room/tv area. Two toilets had wee all over the floor/seats, more frequent/better cleaning needed. Rooms need ventillation, they stink. Showers were cold. No sufficient sink area to clean teeth. Insufficient tables & chairs for # of visitors. Needs new tv. Not enough facilities for # of patrons. Linen was nice.

There are three showers, only in one there is hot water: and only for 20 seconds, then cold water for 10 minutes. I stayed at this hostel three times two years ago, and it was the same problem. When I complained about it, the staff did not seem to care: "It's normal for this building not to have hot water at all". So, no one wanted to do anything. The computers are beyond outdated: they shut down every 5 minutes for no reason. Internet turn on and off. They could've improved things a bit...

The reception operates only between 8am and 11pm, and even with previous announcement. there was no one expecting me. As a result I was not able to do the ceck in. I didn't have access neither to internet nor the bed sheets.

I have already stayed in other youth hostels and this has been the smallest in size but it had an amicable atmosphere to it that made it for me like a tiny little home during those days of my visit to Toronto. Thank you.

Was one of the shitest hostels I have ever stayed in. and I've been in some do dumps. With a rate of what was on hostel world, it shouldn't have that high of a rating?

Poor showers and facilities, not the worst hostel but by no means the best

The location is great. It's not an amazing hostel but it's great for the price and location. The staff were nice to us and overall we had no complaints about this place.

small property, no lockers for luggage, only for small personal stuff and you need to bring your own lock. Staff is helpful. Rooms are very small for 6 people.

The best location you can get in Toronto, had a View of Dundas Square from the window in the room I stayed in. Everything you need in the kitchen and a great communal room. The Place was being decorated whilst there and the over all atmosphere was great, would definitely stay again, Thanks To all the Friendly staff for a warm welcome to Canadia.

I don't know what people are complaining about with this hostel. its great and across the street from the bus station. The showers are a bit of a trick but they tried to help the environment.just use the farthest one. it works the best. I watched the staff clean often. Brian, the manager seems to be a good guy and knows Toronto well.

kitchen sucks - two hot plates and a microwave, and very small. Showers are also bad. It\'s cheap though and well located. Not the best, not the worst. Bring a lock for a locker.

A good place, good wifi, table with electric plugs, nice TV room. It\'s tricky to get hot water in the shower.
