Location, Location, Location. Good hostel right in the centre of town and also next to the river. Also down a street off the main road and opposite the Sheraton Hotel so nice and quiet. Lovely little common room/cafe area. Rooms were perfectly fine but it could do with a lift for people on the 4th floor!
Good: icy cold air-conditioning, powerful shower, and a location that can't be beat. Bad: hard beds, and no Wifi in the rooms. But happy overall! Eat a burger at the American bar next door- fantastic for China.
Lovely place to stay, really convenient for seeing guilin and yummy food from the market. The staff were very friendly and made us smile! Did the river trip and rice fields through the hostel which we really enjoyed but were annoyed by hidden extra costs. Could have been told about this. Still great place to stay though, and they were lovely when we just completely forgot to check out by 12!
Great location. The staff were very helpful.
The entire place is set up perfectly for every need of a traveller! We can't fault this place in any category. Great hosts, amazing food and great atmosphere. It even provides free washing facilities.
Very friendly staff, good food in the hostel and Staff actually speaks English, tha's definatly a plus!
Very relax atmosphere, girls at reception really friendly and very helpful.
Had a nice clean comfortable room with a working air conditioner. The tours offered were unfortunately typically over priced and not guaranteed to please. Made the best out of the river cruise we booked through the hostel where we had to pay extra upon arrival to be able to see the river from our seats. Place totally redeemed itself when they allowed us to come back four days later and stop in for a quick shower after a long days traveling. Thanks!

Lovely staff who are extremely helpful and the breakfast was delicious. The hostel is right beside Li River and Pedestrian St. Probably the best spot in the city.
We didn't spend much time in this hostel but in general we were satisfied with the hostel and staff. People working there explained us very kindly all the information we needed. Also they solved quickly any problem or inquiry we had. They were very pleasant with us. A good place to stay if you are in Guilin ;-)
Probably one of the worst hostels I've ever stayed in. The room was incredibly damp and smelled like it was full of black mould. Both of us developed a chest cold after staying here. The only positive was their fruit salad yogurt breakfast but even that was overpriced. This place should be an absolute last resort
Good location, staff very helpful and overall a great trip!

My only complaint was that there was some misunderstanding when arranging things via email. And when it presented in person, I felt the blame was immediately put onto me, instead of trying to accommodate. The food served is very good. Although, one night, they didn't have a chef, but staff cooked and ate a large meal in front of guests. Other than that, the staff was very helpful. The rooms are clean and the lockers are the biggest I have seen in a hostel.
Really happy with this hostel, staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly and the hostel had a very relaxed vibe. Good value for money. Beds were very comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.
This is a very nice place, and in any other city, it would be the best hostel. In Guilin, however, they must compete with the main Wada hostel, which is hard to beat. Still, this hostel is closer to many town-centre locations, so if you want to visit bars and clubs or eat out, then this place is a very short walk away from those things.
Staff were friendly and location is right next to the pedestrian street and the Sun and Moon Pagodas. Rooms were clean but the floor was just concrete and the walls were dirty. There is absolutely no wifi connection in the bedrooms only in the common area downstairs. Package trips through the hostel to see the Rice Terraces etc., were expensive but maybe they are expensive in all hostels.
