Staff ranks among the best I've ever come across, going out with guests and helping on every little bit they are asked to sort out. Location is also a plus, in the midway between the Old City and Taksim Sq. I'd only suggest breakfast was slightly improved and check-in time made more flexible.

Best hostel I've stayed at so far. Fun and helpful staff, clean and secure rooms and bathrooms, awesome location, and a fun community room on the rooftop. Highly recommended!

THE BEST! Wonderful location close to going-out area rather than touristy center, great outdoor patio and upstairs hang-out area where they even serve food and drinks, staff loves what they do and always go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable! Wish I could go back already...

Great hostel located close to tram, Sultanahmet, Galata and Istikal. Rooftop lounge is a HUGE bonus for relaxing or yoga in the morning, as are the talented Janna and Mustafa "Kemal" at the front desk. Also, a simple breakfast is included and location is great if you like to run (or walk) in the morning.

The private room worth her value but should have a private bathroom as well.

The hostel is in a good location and the staff was really nice. There is only one key to get into the room, however, which meant that you basically just had to keep the key in the door the whole time, so basically anyone in the hostel could access your room.

Bada Bing was fantastic. The guy that runs the place, Vulcan, was incredibly friendly and accommodating. The staff helped me get situated with a variety of activities. It was also incredibly clean which was a nice change of pace from some other Istanbul hostels. They have a roof deck that is perfect for drinking beers on. I enjoyed being away from the tourist clogged streets of Sultanhamet, you are only a 5 minute tram ride from the main attractions, or a 15 minute walk. Great Experience!!!

nice hostel, good location, clean, hot showers, rooftop chill-out area. hostel is located close to the bosporus and the main tram-line, but it is not directly in the party-zone (close to station tünel) and dont expect to much of the bar, it was more a chilly common room with beer being served and there is no rooftop bar with bay-view. staff friendly and nice atmosphere; breakfast is for free, but of course only basic stuff like bread and coffee. all in all, good value for the money

Bada Bing was fantastic! After a few days it started to feel like a home away from home. The staff are all so nice and welcoming and will come and hang out with you, drink with you, show you around Istanbul, and do anything else you need! This hostel is immaculately clean, the facilities are excellent and everything is very new. There is even a hair dryer in the bathroom! Great rooftop area for hanging out, having a drink and getting a meal cooked with love by Apur! Location is fantastic too!

It seems that bada bing is popular for young people who wanna make party. So it can be busy and loud between 23.00 and 5.00 am. But the location is nice and stuff is helpful and friendly.

Very friendly and helpful staff! The hostel was always clean in the mornings but never in the evenings. There's no real common room or not a really comfy one. Breakfast is nice but there's not enough space to sit and eat. There was only one working shower per floor. Location is ok. At night it's a quite unfriendly and dark area but during the day it's fine, as you reach all the main sights within 10 min. All in all good value for money, but there are sure nicer places to stay.

Owner Comment (Show)
Thank you very much for staying at the Bing. We are sorry to hear that you were not satisfied with our temporary common space. We just finished remodelling our main common area which is on the rooftop. There is an indoor area with very comfortable lounge and a patio with cozy bean bags and heaps of space. Unfortunately, you were not here long enough to see the changes. Shower issue has actually been fixed while you were here. It would have been nice if you could mention that as well. We are right in the middle of everything within walking distance. Streets are dark when the sun goes down and there is nothing we can do about that. All the streets are lit up by street lamps at night though. I'm not quite sure what you meant by unfriendly since it's pretty quite after the businesses are closed for the day. There are nices places to stay perhaps, either in tourist areas where you would pay a small fortune for meals, or in the nightlife area where you will hear the loud music til 4 a.m. Best Regards, Bada Bing Hostel

A wonderful place, briliiantly located to walk over to the old town and explore& fantastically close to all the restuarants and night life. This was my first time using a hostel & I was unsure what to expect - we booked a provate room and the only difference between that and a hotel was no TV & that the bathroom was shared.. It was absolutely perfect. The staff are FANTASTIC, warm accomodating & so willing to help and tell you the 'real' Istanbul to see. I would 100% recommend & return
