Too bad the electricity was out during the day, but that was just bad luck. There were a lot of little bugs in the room that just kept coming, maybe the time of the year...? The lady running the place was very nice though. In the end, I don't think I would recommend the place unfortunately.Too bad the electricity was out during the day, but that was just bad luck. A little out of the way (a 10 minute uphill walk from the bus stop), but the rooms are comfy, there are great views, and you can't complain about the free breakfast. This place is build in this typical Russian wooden style. Looks really nice. Lots of big groups seem to come here. We recommend to stay here, although we did not like the owner very much. She seems nice at first, but turned out to be a bit greedy, charging you for almost everything. El hostel es un chalet de madera, situado a unos 500 metros del puerto de slitvianka. Tiene unas vistas muy buenas. Lo malo es la cuesta que hay que subir hasta el chalet, pero vale la pena por el precio que se paga. El desayuno está bien. El personal es amable y la dueña habla inglés. El trato que nos dio Olga fue excelente, dedicándonos su precioso tiempo en la estación de Irkutsk para ayudarnos a sacar nuestros billetes del transiberiano. La única queja es que el alojamiento no fue en el chalet que anuncian, sino en el Nº 86b de la misma calle, lo cual nos privó de unas vistas mejores hacia el lago, tan de agradecer en los días lluviosos.El trato que nos dio Olga fue excelente, dedicándonos su precioso tiempo en la estación de Irkutsk para ayudarnos a sacar nuestros billetes del transiberiano. The wooden Baikal Charlet is located near the outskirts of Listwjanka and surrounded from small, wooden nice decorated houses. The hostel itself is a beautiful wooden building with a fantastic view over the lake and one of the valleys. However it\'s located up a long steep hill, with lots of barking dogs. One girl we met walking up the hill had been attacked and bitten by one of these dogs. We were not attacked but did not feel safe walking up the lane especially later on after dark.
