I have been in hell (Golden Gobi hostel in Ulan Baatar before my arrival to Irkutsk) but now I am in heaven. All is perfect in this hostel, I feel like at home, so this should say it all. Would I recommend this hostel? YES. :) great staff, willingness to help in any way, spotless
:( worst location ever: since we had a twin room, surprise: we were accommodated in a different building than the advertised one; this is a new block of flats, still under construction which means: a lot of noise, no elevator and no light up to the 7th floor, no side walk so you need to share the street with the cars in order to get there; another disturbing aspect: very poor quality of the mattress:) great staff, willingness to help in any way, spotless

Baikalhostel is a lovely hostel. Located a little out of town, but easy to get there by public transport. The staff couldn't be friendlier, helpful or kinder.
