The Baldursbra lived up to its expectations and reviews on Trip Advisor - very friendly, towels provided for the Blue Lagoon and even a breakfast at 4.30 am for our 8.00 am flight. I had expected to pay much more and the value was excellent. I was travelling with my 2 adult sons so the provision of a 3 bedded room was fantastic. If we had taken a room at a youth hostel it would have been 4 bedded, more expensive and far noisier. Great value, friendly owners, good location, good breakfast

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful in booking activities during our stay in Reykjavik. The loation is fantastic and only a few mins walk from the city centre. Would definiely recommend this, especially for backpackers looking for cheaper accommodation.

We really enjoyed our 2 nights stay at Baldusbra. It is situated in a really convenient location for reaching the city centre, it is extremely clean and warm and the rooms are good value for money (winter price though). We also took advantage of the really nice kitchen as eating out in Reykjavik could be pretty expensive. Evelyn, the owner, is warm and lovely and she's been super helpful for renting a car and planning our trip ahead. Definitely recommended if you visit Reykjavik!

An incredible place to stay in an incredible city in an incredible country! Our room was spacious, clean, and warm. The breakfast (included) each morning was plentiful and offered a variety of meats, cheeses, fruits, cereals, yogurt, and beverages. The hosts took amazing care of us and booked tours for us each day, so we had no responsibility other than getting up on time (but she knocked on our door a half hour before departure to make sure we were up). I would absolutely stay here again!

Sweet guesthouse keeper met us at the door, late. One of the best values in Iceland and we have stayed in about dozen spots.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Baldursbra!! The owners were incredibly welcoming and were helpful in organising all tours for us for a good price. It is the best guesthouse I have stayed in being a great place to come back to relax in after an energetic day in Iceland! We felt like we were at home there in just 3 days!

The perfect place to stay. Close to the centre and the bus terminal for convenience but on a residential street so it was very quiet. Incredibly clean and the owners are helpful and friendly. They lent us towels and a costume for the Blue Lagoon and gave us suggestions on what to see in town. A good range at breakfast and we felt very much at home. Evelyn is fantastic - she even called us when she thought we had overslept for our airport bus! We couldnt have picked a better place to stay.

This hostel is among the best I have stayed in. The hosts are a delightful couple from Brittany. They were gracious, amusing, and ready to help in any way possible. I had only two days in Iceland, and Evelyne and Phillipe made excellent suggestions and bookings for me so that I could get the most out of my time there. The breakfast was delicious and the place was immaculate. I can't say enough good things about Baldursbra Guest House!

Lovely little guesthouse run by a delightfully eccentric french woman. We stayed over NYE and she had laid on canapes and sparkling wine for all the guests. It was a really nice gesture and great event. More prosaically, the breakfast spread was good and the rooms clean and functional (if tending towards the spartan - not helped by having two singles pushed together rather than a double bed). The shared bathroom was clean and nice and there was never a wait.

I can't tell you how much I loved my stay at Baldursbra. I felt like I had a home for the week I was in Iceland. Evelyn and Phillippe are the nicest people I've ever met at an accommodation. I felt like I had a second pair of parents looking out for me, committed to me having the best time possible during my stay. They both went above and beyond the call of duty so much as to redefine what it means to be hosts. I will absolutely be back, and could never consider staying anywhere else.

Very cozy and it felt like I was coming home. Evelyne, the owner, is very nice, kind and hospitable. I checked in the morning and she provided me breakfast. She even set up breakfast again for me before I left for my flight at 4 in the morning! I stayed in a very spacious room, fit for 3 people even though I was a solo traveler. Easy find, safe and close to the some embassies. I'd fully recommend this place!
