I stayed for 4 days . It was very good stay. But I did not like the room . The next door kitchen was close to my room and the kitchen smell disturbed me a lot. I did not sleep well for two days but later a kind receptionist changed the room for me.. Thanks anyway.

The breakfast was of poor quality. They can improve that.

The place is really nice, far from the noisy city center. It takes 10-15 minutes from the train/tube to get there, which is ok. The staff was helpful and the room was clean and comfortable. I recommend this place.

I was looking foward to a lovely cooked breakfast, but was put off by the presentation of the food which is pre-cooked and kept hot. The bacon was undercooked for me, the scrambled eggs were floating in liquid and my son said the sausages weren't very nice. I know it takes more effort to cook individual breakfasts for guests, but the presentation would be far better and would guarantee return visits. Having said that, I did have enough to eat as there was plenty of choice (continental).

Great place to stay, charming English house. Bit far out of the city but close to lots of restaurants and pubs. Breakfast was quite good and the room was beautiful. Price is reasonable and staff friendly.

The Balham Lodge was extremely nice! The staff is SO helpful (they serve delicious breakfast and let me do my laundry!), and it is a close walk to the Tube station. Very clean, very nice, and absolutely worth every penny. I would certainly choose going here when I come to London again. Balham is not in central London but Balham itself has many good places to eat and is only a few stops away from central London.

Balham Lodge is a great deal more than a hostel - an extremley comfortable B and B;one of the best beds I ever slept in. The superior single room was perfectly adequate and the welcome war, the breakfast buffet very comprehensive. A real find. I did not bring my car but there seemed to be ample parking, too. .

The room we had was lovely, the breakfast was very good and the staff very welcoming friendly and helpful. We have already booked to stay there again as we had problems with accommodation we had moved onto. Would definetly recommend to anyone.

Lovely clean, friendly, warm and welcoming place to shleter from the freezing weather outside. Nice and quiet, very clean, loved the curtains, staff very friendly. Only slight niggle was the quality of the food-stuffs used for breakfast...
