This place is great. Awesome location, bar in the hostel, wonderful owner!

Balkan Han is an incredibly clean, affordable, friendly and perfectly located Hostel in the heart of Sarajevo. The hostel is walking distance from the park, the historical sites (old Ottoman city) and the nightlife but is a quiet enough that you can rest when you need to. After an overnight bus from Ljubjana, we were picked up by the Hostel’s van (a welcome relief as there were no cabs available at that hour and the ones that were did not seem all that appealing).

I have stayed in many hostels and this is one of my best experience until now!! The owner, Unkas is so nice, has a lot of tips and advice to give, to make you discover the best of the city. The hostel has a perfect location and is really comfortable. Specially great is the quiet garden and home made schnapps! To be recommended definitely!!

i stayed with my friends in balkan han over Easter and it was legendary!!!! the hostel was clean, funky and with perfect facilities, but the best was unkas (the host). he took such great care of us and made the stay epic! i've seen many hostels, but this has definitively been one of the best experiences so far. thanks a lot again unkas! cheers

Its a really good location, has a cool bar which is important and the owner really looks after you and gets involved in loads of night time stuff which is great. Another top hostel and the rooms are brand new as well. really cool place to stay in sarajevo.

This was probably one of the best hostels ever...The owner is THE NICEST and the coolest guy..I highly recommend..the postion is crazy..just 5 minutes walk from Baščaršija, 2 minutes from the famous Disco in the town..I lIKE!!!Yu get free drink upon arrival, have internet, WiFI, everything is new, the place is colourful!
