The Ballantrae Hotel is situated in the centre of Edinburgh. Two minutes walk from Princess Street with famous shopping and historical sites. Only fifteen minutes walk from the Royal Mile and the site of the new Scottish Parliament. The hotel is a grad A property built in the late Regency early Georgian style is a magnificently appointed and retaining original Georgian features.
A wide range of rooms is available to suit all needs including family rooms and honeymoon suites. All rooms are recently refurbished and are all fully en-suite. Facilities provided include a colour television, telephone, and tea- and coffee-making facilities and daily chambermaid service.
Guest can enjoy a fully complimentary breakfast every morning of their stay and relax in the hotels lounge during the evening or if you prefer have champagne or a selection of wines in your room.We offer a cooked as an optioal extra at a cost of £5.00 per person.

very good location. room I had was very spacious, high ceiling which was amazing. needs some maintenance (plasters coming off from ceiling) but overall a good stay. breakfast is simple and good enough. location is fantastic. Probably need a bigger sign as missed the hotel at first.
