Had a wonderful time at Balmers! It was a fantastic experience for all my friends and me. The staff made everything super easy, and the beds were SO comfortable. Highly recommended.

Nice staff provide suitable recommendations. I purchased 4 army knives there. The train ticket check staff said to me:" this hostel is very famous" on the way to interlaken. The hostel even provide free bus ticket.

The shower is def a bit disappointing...hard to use, and the water is either too hot or too cold...except for that all good.

The place was very nice, the beds were very comfortable. The staff was very helpful and nice! We found Mr. Balmer at the hostel and he gave us a lift to the train station and in the way he showed us a few things from Interlaken!

We stayed here over New Years and it was great. The beds are comfortable and the free breakfast, free wifi and free transport card are a plus. The showers are the only thing that need to be renovated as washing you hair with a push button shower is near impossible! The club downstairs is good for socailising and there are also a few lounges to relax in. It is only a short walk to town and has a bus stop right outside too. I´d definitely stay here again!

Staff is friendly and helpful. Location is near 104/105 bus, to Interlaken Ost only 6 minutes. They sale Swiss knives at cheapest price.

The facility of this hostel are the most simple and crude one i have seen. The bathroom and toilets seems to be temporary structures. Quilt cover and sheet are not changed. I really don't think it reserves the reputation.

Free breakfast provided by this hostel only in small amount, not sufficient for most, not many options as well, in comparison to other hostels that provide free breakfast at similar amount of money, probably due to they are selling hot breakfast as well. Security is average as people seem to be able to go in and out of hostel without any password or card and there are too many people around to tell who are the customers and who are not. Number of sockets not enough in room.anyway, good experience!

The staff was great. I booked a double room because there were no singles available. When the staff realised that it was just one person, they were nice enough to offer me it at single room price granted that I did not use the other bed.

Lovely place, one of the warmest hostels I've stayed in Switzerland. I did not like though the showers which eject either freezing or steaming water. Fantastic place, but I would highly recommend that you improve the showers and allow also for more hangers to place soap, shampoo and towels .

The shower could be bigger (really too small) and the staff could give more information about hikings.
