We really enjoyed our stay at Balmer's. We got into Interlaken after midnight and we were still able to check in. It was great! We had a private room and although we shared a bathroom, we had our own sink. The hostel was really clean and also unique. Breakfast was simple but nice. It was a bit more expensive than other hostels, but it was well worth it.

This was the second time that I have stayed in Balmers. Interlaken is beautiful and so is the hostel. In the weekends the hostel fills up and the club in the basement opens up. Lots of locals come and visit that place. During the week the place is very quiet, which makes it perfect to get some rest. Some good restaurants and an Irish pub are just nextdoors. Staff was very friendly and helped me finding a dentist when I was in the unfortunate situation of needing one. I will be back for sure!

The staff we're friendly but could be more useful. For example, on a Sunday night there were no places open for a printer and one staff member was unfriendly and not willing to let me use the printer to print out one sheet of paper. Maybe you should get a printer that allows guests to use it considering many of us have planes, trains, buses, and various tickets to print.

Need new showers. I am 6'2 and the showers seemed to have been built for children.

Balmers is a very nice hostel. I really like the feel and atmosphere of it. The room I was in made me feel like I was in a wooden lodge on a mountain. The staff were very nice and helpful. The breakfast was good. It was in a good location. Overall, a very good stay.

Very bad breakfast, only two peaces of brad. Not very clean, but a tipical swiss atmopshere in the whole location. The personnel was friendly but some of them didn´t speak german.

Located not far from the center, about 15 minutes by foot to interlaken west station. Lots of good restaurants.. Awesome thai restaurant just next door.. Better to go with a group of friends.. Breakfast was simple but enough to kick start your day.. The bed however was a little uncomfortable.. Mattress is too soft, the pillow too.. But overall it was really good.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and the facilities were exactly what we expected. We stayed in a mixed 8 person room and it was great bang for your buck. There are a lot of fun activities to book through the hostel which made our planning easy. I would definitely stay there again and highly recommend it.

great place to be with a group of young friend. NOT RECOMMENDED FOR OLDER PEOPLE. full of energy and enthusiasm. we loved the kitchen and dining hall. Saves a lot of money. supermarket nearby and you get free drink for one day in the night club. CHEAP AND BEST. on the negative side it is not very clean and cozy.

Small room for 4 people, bad soundproof. Bathroom quite small, not enough hangers for clothes. So-so breakfast, Swiss cheese was nice though. Good location, helpful reception staff. Overall stay was average.

The staff was extremely helpful and nice. They helped you book all extreme sports through the hostel and changed them around for you if necessary (we booked skydiving and it got cancelled, so they easily changed us to canyon jumping and refunded the difference in price). The atmosphere is really cool, lots of great people to talk to! The place had a very lodge-like feeling to it. I would definitely stay at balmers again!
