Good hostel overall. I think the rules set up helped reduce noise issues, etc., but we still had some drunk people stumbling around at night that woke us up. Probably not much more you can do about that. Could use more bathrooms/showers too, but again, not sure how much space you have for it.

Balmers was the cutest and all around best hostel I have ever been to. It has everything you need as well as so much character - fits Interlaken perfectly.

Great hostel, tons of charm. Awesome beer garden for hanging out and meeting others after a long day of outdoor activities. Underground night club was fun too. Clean rooms and a friendly staff. We couldn't have asked for more. Only thing that was a bit stingy was the breakfast, it was good, but you are only given two pieces of white bread and jam with a shot glass of juice, seemed like a bit of a weak start to a long day of mt biking or hiking, etc...

Overall it was a very good choice of hostel. Friendly staff, except 1 , but there's always 1 in the group. Easy to book excursions, and the people that stay there are very friendly as well.

Balmer's is the best for sure. It is so much fun and everyone just gets a long great. However, I know it is a hostel, but, you should really invest in better showers. Thanks!

Breakfast was ok, but nothing special. I was expecting more from a Europes famous Hostel. Wasn't a big fan but only stayed one night. Maybe needed more time. A sufficient hostel.

Though the Backpackers Villa seems really nice, I truly think Balmers is a better deal. It's clean, active, and fun. The breakfast sucks... So does the WiFi. Besides that, the place is great.

We stayed in the tent village. It was a good location even for a family with a toddler! Staff was exceptionally courteous and helpful in terms of helping us find cool hikes and things to do outside even on a rainy day. That was great. We were thankful for the tent heaters! We'd recommend it, and went ourselves because of the recommendation of a family with 3 kids 5 and under who also had a great experience!

Generally a nice place to stay and make friends. Shower facilities are clean . Beds are okay but the room is slightly cramp. The basin is too small and the shelf above it makes it hard to use the basin without wetting the floor

the key deposit should not be the passport, sometimes, passport was needed to verify the status of a tourist. The deposit should be in money which is equivalent to the replacement of the key and the lock.

The tent village is a really fantastic concept, great way to meet people and enjoy the stunning surroundings. Best barbecue I've ever used. Sadly didn't get time to use the hot tub but I think it would be the perfect way to relax after tackling some of the more challenging hikes! There's no need to worry about being cold at night as lots of blankets are provided,

The hostel lived upto the expectation, good to have the breakfast included in the price. Close to both Interlaken west and East, good location. Happy to have booked it and will book again.

BE AWARE WHEN YOU BOOK A TENT BY HOSTELWORLD: IT DOESN'T REPORT THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MALE & FEMALE TENTS ! This hostel has every kind of cool things like a game room, a relaxing room with hammocks, a little disco... but on the other hand it would better improve basic things: there aren't lockers in the rooms but only outside near the kitchen (and they're not enough), in the kitchen there aren't enough pots and plates, some rooms have no hooks and the breakfast is pretty poor.
