It is very (I really mean very) noisy. it makes it very difficult to have a proper night of sleep.

The owner was great!! Really helpful with local knowledge and just really chatty in general! We only stayed one night as a stop over before going to the Gili Islands. Via email she had ordered taxis, sorted the fast boat to Gili and also a shuttle bus after!! Fantastic !!!

superb stay, we felt welcome. Very Kind stuff and nice rooms. fantastic!

Really lovely hostel with a fantastic little garden to relax in. Friendly staff and a really lovely owner who is very helpful. It is just a short walk to the white sand beach. I would really recommend this hostel, or if this is not within your budget then the Fat Barrucuda hostel is run by the same owner and is equally good (we stayed there later on in our stay in Padangbai).

Great host, nice welcome, excellent location. However, this place was just a bit frustrating. The majority of the facilities in the private room which we had were super temperamental. Water pressure and electricity came and went at their own leisure. Wifi was poor. The one plug socket was faulty. Bathroom floor didn't drain. The resident dogs host howling parties throughout the night, some just outside the door. Large netted holes in the walls promote no breeze yet decrease privacy. Needs work!

I really enjoyed the time spent there. I found a really nice atmosphere. Ayesha, the owner, is very helpful and she is able to let you feel at home. The stuff is really polite and efficient, even the dinner that they cooked for us was awesome. I really suggest this place. Enjoy your holiday and have fun ;)

I was very happy staying here. Aisha, the owner, was a phenomenal and fun host who made for great company. The location was also pretty good and the quality of the rooms were nice. Aisha was the best part of it though for being a fun and informative host.

Bamboo Paradise communal area is functional and comfortable and Ayesha the owner provides guests with a great welcome including a map of the town, beaches & recommendations for where to eat. Downside- we felt our room lacked privacy as there are large vents in the wall leading to the communal areas. We also found the plumbing unreliable. On the plus- the beach is close & room cost is low. Padang Bai itself is kind of sad but the restaurants and bars are cheaper than Ubud & the south.

Great hostel!! Social atmosphere and great for solo travelers. Has a great common area outside the rooms and really awesome breakfast which I believe is included. Walking distance to beautiful beaches and easy access to the ferry if you want to go to the Gilis. Good experience and highly recommended!

I knew i was going to enjoy this place as soon as I arrived, the owner ( from Belgium ) was wonderful, and her welcome was just excellent. I ended up staying an extra day ,even though the town is really only a transition town for those going to the Gili Islands.

Great little spot, right in Padang Bai, but tucked out of the way of the harbor. Super chill and it felt like home. This little gem has everything you need for a short stay or long. Do yourself a favor and book here if you're there to check out the east side or just passing thru.

Owner VERY personable & cordial; she & her wonderful friends included me in spontaneous activities. VG local guidance & VERY good snorkling trip arranged at fair price. Same with onward boat tickets. 4-bed dorm room OK & amazingly had AC and two good fans. Locker & strong lock provided, bedside light too, but no place to set anything down & no chairs. Padangbai itself was not so great, mainly a giant busy port. It was excellent however for onward eastbound ferry & fast-boat ports.

We had a great stay at Bamboo Paradise and we even extended our stay for two nights even though there's only so much to do in Padang Bai. Ayesha, the owner, was very friendly and gave us tons of recommendations for what to do and where to go. She went out of her way to help us with our next accommodation as well. Her staff was also very nice. The dorms were rather comfortable with strong air conditioning, though the private room seemed to only have a ceiling fan. Overall, highly recommended

The staff is very helpful and friendly. Thanks so much Aysha. The room is clean and has a nice decor. The enviroment is very pleasant. The chill-out lounge is very comfortable. We will recommend your homestay.

I think it's as good as it gets for a hostel in the area. The staff is really friendly and the free breakfast is yummy. The common space is chill and relaxed.

- relaxing atmosphere in the "main" room - good breakfast, you could choose between 4 menues - flush for the toilet did not work properly - dogs were barking in the night, no sleep
