Close to the beach, has a travel hut and anyone at the office can help you on your way to explore Fiji. One downside is that there was no hot water when we were there...

Great place for a night or two when just arriving or going back to the airport. A much cheaper alternative to Smugglers Cove, but that place is still just a few doors down if you want the restaurant or internet etc. Very friendly, helpful staff and great to have a personal pick up from the airport!

The staff were so friendly and I loved the kava night we had. There's a few hostels within a couple of mins walk, but this definately has the best relaxed atmosphere. You can wander to smugglers cove (1 min walk) and go have a drink at the bar there which is good. Room isn't amazing, but you've got air con and there's free wifi! Bonus. Just great staff :)

I loved staying at Bamboo Hostel mainly for the atmosphere. There's a large sand area for playing volleyball or just hanging out on the picnic tables. Wi-fi is slow but free. A good starting point for a holiday in Fiji. Staff is friendly and helpful. The banana pancakes are also awesome.

Arriving early AM at Bamboo after 14 hours of travel was very refreshing. We were immediately and warmly greeted by Samu and Luisa. Luisa immediately helped us plan our activities for the week and had our rooms prepared. Here are some reasons that make Bamboo a great place to start and finish your trip in Fiji: -the chill, FijiTime atmosphere of bamboo -great volleyball matches with the guys (Team Gandu vs the World!), -nightly kava sessions -Reliable internet! -Excellent and cheap food!

The best value accommodation and a FUN place to stay in the mainland. It's easy to plan your trip further because you can speak with other guests and also the staff is very helpful and can book the trip. Just watch out with the prices. The bula pass package for Yasawa islands I wanted to book was about 200 more than in the website of Awesome Adventures (they said the price included their discount). When I told I will book directly suddenly the price dropped to same (with no further discount).

Bamboo is absolutely the best hostel to stay at in Nadi. It is very basic. Yet very clean and safe. Here's the thing though. Only book one night in Nadi. There's nothing to really do here. Then, when you get to bamboo, coordinate a trip to the North island. The farther islands away from the mainland are the prettier ones. Nadi downtown is pretty terrible in that anyone who sees you are a westerner will try and sell you island excursions or other things. It sucks.

A really happy, friendly place. Was only there for 12 hours on a stopover before going to the islands but would definitely recommend it to anyone else doing the same thing. People from other hostels were coming in just to sit in the bar and enjoy the atmosphere! Only issue might be security as the ground floor dorms don't have locks on the doors but I got moved to a private room due to a booking mix-up (there was no extra charge for me) and that room had a lockable door.

Bamboo is a very warm, relaxed and friendly hoslel. I loved the feel of it as soon as I walked in. The free pick up from the airport is excellent and this is your first encounter with some of the friendly Fijian staff. For me it was a very good first taste of Fiji and allowed me to meet lots of travellers around the kava session held nightly. I love this place and I am sad to leave as it is a home from home!

I wouldn't have anything to say if the internet was working as described. This is the keyword for me when choosing the hostel - it just must have it.... If the hotel says "we have wi-fi" it should be working as advertised... I spent a few hours trying and had to go to Nadi to find a internet cafe... There should be another category to review the hotel - internet... At the moment everything is just average. I'm tired of going to hotels with internet without internet...

I love this hostel, it is a friendly place with great staff and atmosphere. Good value for money for short period of time, notice that the beach is not that nice so it isn't a beach resort but perfect for stopping for a night or two. Ask about their North Combo trips, it is worth of checking out!

Great hostel and extremely friendly staff. They were there at the airport even though my flight was delayed by 5 hours! Everyone calls you by your name too. Would definitely stay here again :)
