Was moved beds, locker for new bed was busted and option behind the front desk wasn't secure. No hot water one morning. Upon check-in, was told the "important" info for the area; a pizza place, a small grocery store, and where to buy cocaine (though as a bonus, the hostel became a bit of a running joke on the tour I went on). One bathroom was basically a puddle the entire time. On the plus side, the decor was nice, bed was comfortable, and outlet/light/curtain for each cot was a good setup.

In the "safest" neighborhood in Medellin, but just far enough (5min walk) from Parque Lleras as to actually get a good sleep if wanted. No hot water in largest dorm room bath. Excellent staff, especially Daniel. Comfy beds! Wish there was a more affordable option for 1-person private.

The Bambu hostel was fantastic. Sven and the rest of the staff were welcoming and very helpful. The hostel is located in a great neighborhood with lots of bars and cafes. Stay at Bambu! Woot woot!

The room we stayed in was way too small for the amount of beds (6 or 8) and messy. The yard was nice in theory but full of cigarette buts. Some of the guests were apparently stuck there and high all the time. There are much nicer options in El Poblado!

Nice relaxed hostel. Just make sure you ask for the nice dorm (curtain, light, power)

Super relaxed hostal. They have several arreas to relax, and a nice big garden with hammocks. The hostal is close by all the good bars (just a few minutes walking). The atmosphere in this hostal was really relaxed.. And didn{t want to go.. Could have stayed here for months.. But also wanted to see other parts of Colombia, therefore left the hostal after a week

not recommended at all staff are not nice

Friendly staff. Got upgraded to a tent to try some glamping on the first night when hostel was over booked which was fun. Had a problem with mosquitos in the dorms a night so remember the repellent! Very chilled atmosphere and hostel within close distance to HEAPS of restaurants in the El Poblado region

Beautiful hostel. Dorms had everything you needed; lamo, PowerPoint, small locker and curtains for privacy. Amazing garden area with hammock as, the perfect place to hang out after a day of walking the city! Full equipped kitchen. Super friendly helpful staff. Highly recommend!

BEAUTIFUL hostel!! We loved the location and outdoor area. Close to parque lleras and a train station. Only two showers though, and the 8 bed dorm looks NOTHING like the photos (curtains etc) so we were a little disappointed at that - it was just a simple room with squeaky metal bunks. But other than that, great hostel with nice staff! :)

The beds are great: each one has curtains and an outlet. The yard is nice and has many hammocks. It's a bit of a hike to the metro but it's close enough to to Parque Lleras.

Great hostel, friendly staff, awesome vibe and really nice beds. Location is good, only bit far from metrostation.

Amazing facilities, great kitchen and nice areas to chill both inside and outside. Really appreciated the curtains on each bed. In a great area, close to so many restaurants and bars.

Amazing hostel - great facilities. Although quite quiet, possible better for a couple looking for a chilled place Amazing staff - all friendly and helpful

We had a great time at this hostel! Each bunkbed has its own light, locker, power outlet and curtains. It was possible to use the well equipped kitchen. We especially enjoyed the beautiful garden. Staff is very friendly!

Excellent! I usually go for party hostels, but this felt like I was at home. Nice and relaxed, staff was very helpful and there to help 24 hours. Great outdoor area with hammocks and some chairs if you wanted to have some games going. Bit further away from the main district of Medellin, but it was nice because you felt as though you were escaping every time you got back. Can't wait to stay again!

Young people who work very hard and they do a good job. They can help you with everything. It is Nice and clean.

Here's the deal... Seems like a great place and we had heard good things, but we instantly smelled mold upon arrival. Later found a TON of black mold growing on the walls in the dorm closet... Honestly surprised by the high rating, maybe it has potential if they deal with this problem. But for now it's not worth getting sick and we had to move.

Good place to stay. Clean, good staff. In a quiet area without being out of the way. I really liked the layout of the hostel. There are a lots of common areas (reading/laptop, TV, dining, kitchen, terraces, garden), that are separated by walls and are on slightly different levels, but they are all connected by wide and open doorways. So if it's crowded there is room for a lot of different groups, with still a chance for privacy, but if it's empty you don't feel lonley or lost. Well designed!
