This is a lovely hostel in a great part of a beautiful city! It somehow manages to have a spacious garden with hammocks under the trees (birds, stream, the works..) while also being in one of the main areas of medelin. Staff are amazing: from being silently handed a very welcome coffee on my first morning, to late night chats about Colombia, salsa dancing and un-endingly patient advice on what to see, the staff made it feel like we were all friends hanging out. Felt like home - miss it already!

In the center of the vivid El Poblado region. Staff are funny, English-speaking and very, very helpful. We stayed as a couple in the deluxe tent, it was amazing. And: a kitchen where you actually could cook without doing everyone else's dishes. Clean, cheap, big and atmospheric. Go there, you won't regret it.

I planned to stay at bambu for 2 nights and ended up staying a week! Great staff who look after you, answer any questions you may have, always know where the party is ;)

Each dorm bed has a light, outlet, security box and curtain which is awesome. Staff was very helpful and there is a nice outdoor space to relax. Though it is about 20 minutes from the metro there are lots of bars and restaurants nearby.

When we first checked in, the staff member who helped us was so high that he spaced out three times mid-conversation. This is definitely more of a stoner hostel even though there are signs about "don't smoke weed here" they sell rolling papers at the front desk and it's a bit anti-social. It's a cool outside environment, and I did enjoy staying in one of their outdoor glamping tents as a change of pace. There need to be more showers so you don't have to camp out waiting for half hour to get one.

Hostel is at the edge of El Poblado barrio, which is fairly tourist oriented, but nice because very little city noise. Hostel has a nice outdoor area for hanging out and socializing. Overall relaxed vibe, welcoming, and a decent home base; however, pretty removed from the city, so you have to cab to any partying outsize El Poblado. Bit of a walk to the metro as well.

Great Great hostel, loved this place. Almost like a house, they got a ps3 and movie living room, everyone gathers to hangout and play games there, or just chill out in the backyard, very cozy. This place made my stay in Medellín, this hostel really makes you feel comfortable and easy to make real friends. Staff was awesome, always helpful and available. Only could say wish there were more available showers and bathrooms for when the hostal gets packed, but other than that, amazing. stay here!

You liked everything about your hostel, but the fact that plenty of persons took drugs, including one person from the stuff, i can not stand that

I really loved my experience here, place is clean, staff is very helpful, it's located in a place with good access to the evening events without being a noisy place at night. Quite the opposite! Recommended!

I loved the environment in the hostel. It was very laid back but the layout of the place was also well designed for meeting people, relaxing and all that. I definitely recommend staying there! :)

Very clean and modern hostel. NOT a party hostel though... located very closely to Parque Lleras in a "green atmosphere". But again, if you are looking for parties, better choose "Happy Buddha" or "Kiwi".

Owner Comment (Hide)
Yes , its true, we are not a party hostel, we've never said that... we are a quiet hostel very close to party area where you can rest after the party is over... thanks for the comment and for staying with us though.

This is definitely a party hostel. Unless we arrived on a particularly wild night, people were up Very late. Lots of yelling, drinking games, etc. If that's you're thing, go here. If you want some peace and quiet, don't.

Great hostel - walking distance to the city's best clubs/bars, super fun and social but at the same time rooms are set back and very quiet, garden is a treat. Bathrooms clean, own plug socket and bedside lamp massive advantage. Staff more than helpful. Lovely atmosphere, would highly recommend.

Located about a ten-minute walk from the bars and restaurants of Calle 10. Fun hostel, good staff, clean. Having electrical outlets, lights, and privacy curtains on the beds is nice. Good TV room with comfortable lounge-style couches for watching the World Cup. The hostel is safe, but my only complaint is that it doesn´t have lockers.

Really nice hostel. Beds are well designed with lockers, reading lights and curtains. TV room and lounge area were really nice too and staff were friendly. Rooms are a bit small. Close to centre of poblado (10 min walk) and easy to get metro to town centre. Small point but I would prefer if you could put your own lock on lockers as a key is just another thing to lose.
