I have stayed in quite a few hostels and this is far an away the best one I have stayed at. The beds are comfortable, the facilities are clean and people are very quiet after midnight. Why stay at a party hostel when you can stay at one where you can sleep and party other places. You won't go wrong staying here. It's also about a 15 min walk to the Metro, downhill. Take a bus back up for 1,700 pesos.

Bambu is an oasis tucked up in the hills of el Poblado, away from the hustle and bustle of Medellin, but close enough that it doesn't feel isolated. Alex and the rest of the staff were very helpful and the atmosphere was laid-back and comfortable with plenty of space to spend time outside. The hostel took on more of a party vibe during the weekend.

The is a great hostel to stay. I loved the neighborhood and location and especially the backyard area. Very chill environment. My only complaint is that the Kitchen doesn't have a toaster but that's pretty negligible. I do note that while I was there two girls got robbed on the street nearby. That has nothing to do with the Hostel but you always have to be wary of your surroundings in Medellin. Tourist (especially Gringos) are looked at as easy cash targets for in any neighborhood.

Wonderful hostel. It seems to be a bit away from everything, but once you understand how to move in Medellin, you'll see that it is on one of the best spots. As of the staff, they did a wonderful job. Facilities are very comfortable and clean. The only reason I didn't set the Value for money section on excellent is because it could be somewhat cheaper, I think. Other than that, I would definitively recommend this hostel.

Fantastic hostel - well designed, clean, and brilliant facilities. Great place to relax and enjoy all that Medellin has to offer. Staff are incredibly helpful. Highly recommend staying here!

This is a lovely hostel in a great part of a beautiful city! It somehow manages to have a spacious garden with hammocks under the trees (birds, stream, the works..) while also being in one of the main areas of medelin. Staff are amazing: from being silently handed a very welcome coffee on my first morning, to late night chats about Colombia, salsa dancing and un-endingly patient advice on what to see, the staff made it feel like we were all friends hanging out. Felt like home - miss it already!

In the center of the vivid El Poblado region. Staff are funny, English-speaking and very, very helpful. We stayed as a couple in the deluxe tent, it was amazing. And: a kitchen where you actually could cook without doing everyone else's dishes. Clean, cheap, big and atmospheric. Go there, you won't regret it.

Each dorm bed has a light, outlet, security box and curtain which is awesome. Staff was very helpful and there is a nice outdoor space to relax. Though it is about 20 minutes from the metro there are lots of bars and restaurants nearby.

When we first checked in, the staff member who helped us was so high that he spaced out three times mid-conversation. This is definitely more of a stoner hostel even though there are signs about "don't smoke weed here" they sell rolling papers at the front desk and it's a bit anti-social. It's a cool outside environment, and I did enjoy staying in one of their outdoor glamping tents as a change of pace. There need to be more showers so you don't have to camp out waiting for half hour to get one.

Hostel is at the edge of El Poblado barrio, which is fairly tourist oriented, but nice because very little city noise. Hostel has a nice outdoor area for hanging out and socializing. Overall relaxed vibe, welcoming, and a decent home base; however, pretty removed from the city, so you have to cab to any partying outsize El Poblado. Bit of a walk to the metro as well.

Great Great hostel, loved this place. Almost like a house, they got a ps3 and movie living room, everyone gathers to hangout and play games there, or just chill out in the backyard, very cozy. This place made my stay in Medellín, this hostel really makes you feel comfortable and easy to make real friends. Staff was awesome, always helpful and available. Only could say wish there were more available showers and bathrooms for when the hostal gets packed, but other than that, amazing. stay here!

I really loved my experience here, place is clean, staff is very helpful, it's located in a place with good access to the evening events without being a noisy place at night. Quite the opposite! Recommended!

I loved the environment in the hostel. It was very laid back but the layout of the place was also well designed for meeting people, relaxing and all that. I definitely recommend staying there! :)

Very clean and modern hostel. NOT a party hostel though... located very closely to Parque Lleras in a "green atmosphere". But again, if you are looking for parties, better choose "Happy Buddha" or "Kiwi".

Yes , its true, we are not a party hostel, we've never said that... we are a quiet hostel very close to party area where you can rest after the party is over... thanks for the comment and for staying with us though.
