the garden is nice! rooms are very small but every has a light & power source and a curtain! didn't feel the vibe there though.

At the moment of our visit there was only one shower available, the sheets weren't clean and didn't exactly smell very good. The staff was helpful but a bit surprised and not totally understanding about our complaining. The kitchen wasn't tidy either. The common area is really nice and the little garden too.

Having stayed at Arcadia Hostel previously, Bambu was an absolute dream hostel! I would highly recommend it to anyone thinking of staying here, whilst in Medellin.! Great hostel atmosphere, REALLY comfy beds (compared to shitcadia Hostel), great staff who are friendly and willing to help! The only criticism (constructive) I have is that the breakfast options should be increased!! Apart from the hostel was perfect! Again I'd recommend this hostel any day, compared to Arcadia Hostel!!!

Words can not explain... Cold showers.. all of them, lockers that you can basically take with you, signs that you can not smoke marihuana etc while there were papers to roll it everywhere that I'm not going to mention the smell. Even in our dorm. It's also a horrible party hostel. When we woke up to get our bus at 6 am people were still partying. Omnipresent drugs unfortunately. Too bad cuz the garden is super beautiful and stylish.

Not enough showers, small and poorly equipped kitchen and the hostel seemed pretty dirty. I'd still recommend it as the atmosphere was great and the garden is just amazing. I met nice people over there and had a great time! About the location, if you wanna be close to restaurants and bars, this place is for you. If you're more interested in the city itself, its centrum and its history, the hostel is too far away from all that (and 20 minutes walking to the closest metro station).

Thank you!!

The location os the hostel, the common areas and garden are great. However, the staff was not very friendly nor hepful, with the exception of two volunteers working there!! Really bad organization! I stayed there 5 days and 2 I have to take cold showers

I ended staying a week here. The staff members were amazing, helpful, and friendly. The hostel had a good layout that was welcoming and easy to meet other people in. Plus, the area is super green, safe, with lots of restaurants, shops, and bars. I would stay here again. Some of the complaints listed below are from brat tourists, because I really find what they are complaining about to be unfounded. The one bathroom does always have a wet floor, though.

The Hostel is alright, just some things I'd like to suggest for an easy improvement. It's coincide if you get a warm shower, ours was cold and dirty. The managers let young travellers do the night shifts and unfortunately they don't really know how it works. No blame on the young travellers. Good luck!

Very chilled hostel with awesome little garden to relax surrounded by nature in the middle of a bustling city. The hostel may not be the cleanest or the most equipped, but the garden area is wicked, the wifi is fast, the beds have curtains, the showers are hot and powerful, and the lounge is nice and comfy. Definitely recommended if you're looking for a change of pace and just a want to kick back.

Great vibe and location

Really nice hostel. Clean, good beds, enough facilities and a nice big garden. Only thing bad thing about the hostel is the communication between the different people working there. There was a lot of miscommunication and we had the feeling nothing was organized. It looked like there was no system. If they would improve this this hostel would be perfect!

I stayed in the tend. it was very cool with TV inside. very nice good experience.

Hostal is absolutely disgusting and meanly the kitchen (people dont clean or wash dishes after cooking). I saw a rat in the kitchen. Unless you smoke marijuanas we Will not socialize here. This seems to be the main activity. Noisy and dirty place.

very chilled hostel

What a badass place, felt comfortable immediately...a hostel well done. A quick observation, the floor in the bathroom was always wet (not sure why) but maybe some floor mats would solve the problem...It's just a horrible feeling when your feet get wet when you get up to go to bathroom in the middle of the night. Cheers.

Was moved beds, locker for new bed was busted and option behind the front desk wasn't secure. No hot water one morning. Upon check-in, was told the "important" info for the area; a pizza place, a small grocery store, and where to buy cocaine (though as a bonus, the hostel became a bit of a running joke on the tour I went on). One bathroom was basically a puddle the entire time. On the plus side, the decor was nice, bed was comfortable, and outlet/light/curtain for each cot was a good setup.
