Amazing facilities, great kitchen and nice areas to chill both inside and outside. Really appreciated the curtains on each bed. In a great area, close to so many restaurants and bars.
We had a great time at this hostel! Each bunkbed has its own light, locker, power outlet and curtains. It was possible to use the well equipped kitchen. We especially enjoyed the beautiful garden. Staff is very friendly!
Excellent! I usually go for party hostels, but this felt like I was at home. Nice and relaxed, staff was very helpful and there to help 24 hours. Great outdoor area with hammocks and some chairs if you wanted to have some games going. Bit further away from the main district of Medellin, but it was nice because you felt as though you were escaping every time you got back. Can't wait to stay again!
Young people who work very hard and they do a good job. They can help you with everything. It is Nice and clean.
Here's the deal... Seems like a great place and we had heard good things, but we instantly smelled mold upon arrival. Later found a TON of black mold growing on the walls in the dorm closet... Honestly surprised by the high rating, maybe it has potential if they deal with this problem. But for now it's not worth getting sick and we had to move.
Friendly staff, accommodating and great location.

Good place to stay. Clean, good staff. In a quiet area without being out of the way. I really liked the layout of the hostel. There are a lots of common areas (reading/laptop, TV, dining, kitchen, terraces, garden), that are separated by walls and are on slightly different levels, but they are all connected by wide and open doorways. So if it's crowded there is room for a lot of different groups, with still a chance for privacy, but if it's empty you don't feel lonley or lost. Well designed!
Thank you very much for a beautiful and relaxing place! We wish you the best and hope to be back really soon!
It is a Party Hostel. People basically stay there the whole time and never leave for anything. So expect some noise and people that are not actually traveling, just partying. From the hostel itself, environment is pretty nice, good deco, and dorms have small curtains for more privacy. Lack of showers is a bit of a problem... It is located uphill, but in a nice bohemian district. Worth a shot.
Was really happy with my stay, the hostel provides everything, good kitchen facilities, cozy beds with curtains to have a bit more privacy and great atmosphere, it's a really cool place to relax, they have a couple of hammocks in the yard so you can relax after a long walk throughout town, location is good at the of el Poblado which is a nice neighborhood and 10 minutes walk to the metro where you can get around all over the city. Btw, staff was really helpful, kudos to them.
Lovely atmosphere, great staff. Loved the dorm beds with curtains and power point. Great location. Definitely recommend Bambu.
Bambu is in a quiet side of El Poblado. I really appreciated the cartons around the beds that gave me some privacy, rare in hostals.

Recommended by a friend as one of the best hostels he stayed at in a while, and that's no lie. Friendly staff, awesome kitchen and amazing garden that lets you forget you're in a city.
This place is lovely, staff are rad and the owners are amazing (they're backpackers so they know what we need in a hostel) bunks have curtains lockers reading lights and power plugs inside! best hostel I've stayed in for years!!
Great location in Poblado, walking distance to lots of bars, restaurants and cafes. Dorm rooms were clean with individual lockers, lights, charging points, towels and curtains. Great free wi-fi. There is a TV area also, although it was being used by the staff most of the time we were there. There is a good kitchen and a supermarket close by. Unfortunately you can't bring your own beers in to the hostel. Some staff were excellent, others were terrible - very hit and miss. Overall, great spot.
This hostel has a wonderful, relaxing atmosphere. It is central but it doesn't feel like you're in a city. Very nice beds and super helpful staff.
Overall good hostel. Good atmosphere and a good place to meet people. Whilst the staff are friendly they aren't very useful or knowledgeable.
We stayed here in January, really like the chilled ambience here, lovely hammock area out the back, a fantastic kitchen and a great movie area too. Dorms had great big lockers and little curtains on each bed for extra privacy.
It is a nice house Witz space to sit and relax. The stuff is vers helpful and nice, the cleaning lady does an awesome job. You can use the Kirchen which is a bit small for so many people, especially when the helpers allways cook. That is maybe the only thing about the hostel: there are many people, longterm stays and lots of short vacationer which lacks a bit of atmosphere.
