I have never stayed at a hostel before. I was extremely impressed with all that Bambu Hostel had to offer. It was a wonderful experience that I will surely do again. The Manager "Peter" was incredible. A great guy. The facilities were fantastic and the interesting stories from talking to other guests were astounding. I would recommend Bambu Hostel to anyone. It looks like I just clicked down the middle row. Thats what I did but not without consideration. Good is "above average". I havent stayed in very many hostels but I think I was fair.

very relaxed, friendly, open-minded-atmosphere together with a cool beer at the tiny outdoor-bar next to the pool at night and a nice, inexpensive breakfast in the morning... we liked it really much

This hostel is awesome, the best we have stayed in Panama, crystal clear pool, tropical gardens and plenty of space to chill out. The hostel is well run by friendly helpful staff, the hostel is very clean and inviting. We went for the Jungle House experience, built by Panamanians from bamboo and local material, but still with modern conveniences. We sleep on brand new inner spring mattresses, cooled by the breeze from wall mounted fans. Definitely recommend this place, we will be back for sure.

Great location, really nice people, really friendly staff. Nice to hang out by the poolside in the beautiful garden, and the drinks in the Bar are strong and cheap. Definitely enjoyed my stay, which is like I stayed a lot longer than I originally wanted to.

We loved the Bambu Hostel! It was no cleaner or more beautiful than any other hostels, but we spent a lot of time hanging out in the beautiful backyard where there is a pool, outdoor bar and lots of space to chill. It is a quiet hostel, but everyone was very friendly, and at night there was a fun vibe with the bar and all the guests hanging out together. It is about a five minute taxi ride from the bus station, and there is not a whole lot of other stuff to do in the area, but we thoroughly it!

We found this hostel on trip adviser, rated number one hostel in David, and at only $10 a dorm bed we wanted to check it out. We also meet many fellow travelers along the way who recommended this place to us. After a long hot trip, the pool the and tropical gardens really help you chill out. They have a bar by the pool with cold beers for only $1. The staff is very friendly and helpful, nothing was to much trouble and very clean place. We would recommend this hostel and stay again.

The (private) bathroom didn't appeared to have been cleaned in several visits, and bedroom had a serious bug problem! I know it's a hostel, but a basic cleanliness is a must.

I've stayed in many hostels over the years. But this is the first time I came back from the store to find a note on the refrigerator stating that I was instructed NOT to put my own beer in their regrigerator. Oh, you want some cold beer? You have to buy it from US! They even cruised the freezer and took what I'd already bought out of it. I would not stay in a place where they care more about nicking a dollar from you to whether or not you bought and brought a cooler with ice in it....

Only spent one night... was planning on staying longer but wasnt feeling engaged thus left. Im sure if i spent longer i would have experienced more warmth from the staff and long term guests but passed through happily. Must say... was in the dorm in which two staff members.

We originally booked in for 3 nights and after the first night we extended our stay for an additional 2 nights to really get a feel for the area. The Bambu Hostel welcomed us right in and we felt very good during our stay. Our concern was our age being in our fifties, but this turned out to be a fantastic opportunity to save on room costs and dining out with the use of the kitchen. We took full advantage of all the Hostel from laundry to the friendly onsite bar area and pool. Time well spent.

Rooms are functional (ours without a window), the shower is seperated from toilets and the room is "under water", no glove box, not very clean. The pool is very small, but nevertheless the outside area is very nice.
