It is a perfect place to escape the crowdes of tourists, located in an area where people of the island live, still really close the 'center' of the village! This place is very green and the owner grows all the tropical plants in her garden and offers you a tee from fresh herbs from this garden if you like! She is very simpathetic and was very helpful to me.

The staff was unhelpful, not accomodating and threatened to call the police immediately when my initial payment method did not work without waiting any time to try again or to be paid cash. I was lectured for using the common area (to watch a dvd when i was the only one present, for doing yoga in the yard and for trying to warm my food on the stove). Although the environment was beautiful the unpleasantness of the staff made it obvious as to why I was one of the very few guests.

The hostel was pretty nice. However, the staff mixed up our reservation. We made a reservation for two single bedrooms and one double bedroom. The double bedroom was in reality a twin bedroom and there was only one single bedroom in the hostel. So two of us had to go to the 10-bed dorm. The staff was a bit unfriendly due to the discussion about the rooms. Breakfast was great, a lot of nice fruits were made available.

The hostel was located not really closed to the heart of the town so it was not very easy to find it but this was not the problem. When we arrived nobody was there to receive us so we have to wait for half an hour without news. We had booked for a private double room and we share the bathroom (with 14 people). The bed sheets had fungi on it and the room was full of ants and cockroachs. It was really dirty. When we ask for new sheets they told us that the new ones were wet. NOT RECOMMENDED

This Hostel leaves a lot to be desired. We stayed in the Double bunk room and it was very damp and mouldy. We couldn't loock the door and tere was a pane of glass missing from the door. The toilet and shower were ok. One toilet and shower between ten people is no good at any time of the day. The main gate for hostel was always unlocked which wasn't the best but the lockers wernt too bad. Breakfast was ok all in all. My advice don't expect much.

Very nice place but disorganized and a tick out of shape. Breakfast is great. Managed by real friendly people. Located up the hill which is not a great area to return to at night.

No Fan or Air Condition + No mosquito net makes it really hot and hard to sleep in the two bed twin room.

THE OWNER IS TOTALLY RUDE!!! I booked a 4-bed-dorm and she puted us in a 10-bed-dorm and when we talked to her she blamed hostel-world and told it´s a tecnical mistake instead of puting us in the correct dorm and we had still to pay the same price. Also she wanted us to pay on the first day 100% of the money for our stay! When we did not agree with that she became very agressive. Also we shared with 20 people a bath-room! A TOTALLY DESASTER

After staying at over 60 hostels in SA I thought id comment to let people know about this one. Its very basic but quite nice but this is all undone by the managements willingness to argue with all guests. I stayed there for 4 nights and witnessed at least 6 mistakes with booking and many snaps at guests by the Manager. The mistakes were all blamed on hostelworld but I think that it could have been because the booking system was all done with paper printouts.
