This is the most modern and cleanest hostel I have ever experienced. It is perfect. The hosts are gracious and attentive but never intrusive.

A terrific little hostel (a converted apartment in a nice residential building) that's tastefully decorated, impeccably clean, and incredibly comfortable. There are only two showers, but the entire hostel sleeps no more than 10 or 12, so it works out well enough. The free banana bread was a nice treat; and the two owners went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed when we checked in.

Felt a bit strange to live in someones apartment at first. And there was no receipt to guarantee that it was a real hostel. But the standard vas very high and the beds were confortable, Dont expect the breakfast to be a breakfast. Just toast and bananas.

I highly recommend Banana Hostel. Wilbur & Lexi really care about this place and their guests. The Hostel is very clean, safe and gorgeous decorated. There is a huge common room and everything you need in the flat. The Banana bread/cake brought by the owner is delicious. Although they cannot be in the hostel all the time as it is a normal flat, they are always available via email or phone. They made me enjoy my trip to Taiwan very much! Definitely would book again!

I really enjoyed my stay at Banana Hostel, it felt like renting your own cozy apartment in the middle of Taipei. Free bananas and banana bread (on the weekend) is a nice little touch as well, and the decor of the place just added to the homey feeling. The location is quite nice as well, near the train station (though you can't see that on Google Maps yet) and the CKS memorial. Would definitely stay again if I'm in Taipei.

Banana hostel is super clean and super comfortable. The separate kitchen was a real bonus as were the free bananas and banana cake. The owners keep it real clean.. Maybe even too clean if I'm totally honest. The atmosphere was generally good, although was kept awake a couple of nights by people talking but that's not the hostels fault! When there was no-one else there it felt like our very own luxury flat. Maybe they could make it clearer to guests that the door should be locked when leaving.

This hostel locates in a very good location. It is near Chiang Kai-chek Memorial Hall. I was very impressed light up at Chiang Kai-chek Memorial Hall at night. Also the hostel locates very near to one famous restaurant, Din Tai Feng where you can taste good Xiao Long Bao. About the hostel itself, it is well decorated and very clean. Staff is very nice. You will have one locker for keep everything inside. Only one thing to comment, I hope that returned key should be left at some security locker.

The hostel is very nice and cozy, feel like being at home. The staff is very nice and friendly too. Their banana cake is very delicious as well. However, there's only 1 toilet in the whole apartment, which is shared among 7-8 people. This has caused quite a lot of problem, especially when people take long time for shower.

I really loved it. It is a flat converted in a hostel therefore it is very secure. it is located 3 underground stations from the centre of town but it is in a quiet area therefore you can sleep peacefully. The 2 owners of the place are very interesting people, charming and welcoming. The place is really clean and beautifully decorated.

Had a great stay at Banana and their banana cake is delicious! The only downside during our stay was the mosquito problem. My friends and I were eaten up by the mosquitoes the first night, ended up having to buy bug spray.

good to have more than a few electric sockets in the room (twin bed room). more adapters could be provided. better remind residents to label their food in the fridge, and things provided by the hostel should also be labelled.
