Do yourself a favor and pick a different hostel. No security anybody can walk in and out. Private rooms don't have private bathrooms, the shared bathrooms are in front of the pool not private at all, the shower was giving off small electric shocks and the other one was cold. The good part of this hostel is there is a great dune buggy that takes people sand boarding lots of fun! However most hostels in Huacachina offer this. Also they add a "tax" to the bill above the final cost show online.

Great breakfast and the sandbuggy tour is awesome!!! There are no real lockers, but Huacachina is safe enough!

After 3 months travelling sth america this is my first negataive review. I am careful to slag off as I know that circumstances are important but some things I will state as facts only. From the time we arrived staff pushed tour tour tour with the sole intention of selling all guests the buggy tour. Our bathroom which even though we had a 'deluxe' room was shared and the state of it shocking. In 3 days it wasnt cleaned once. The toilet paper bin full and in the hot weather stunk to high heaven.

We booked our double room here but due to some confusion got put in the hostel across the road. The hostel across the road was terrible but we won't hold that against this hostel as we spent all our time at Banana's eating/drinking/swimming. Really good food and a nice intimate setting. Their dune buggies are the best.

Really awesome character, although they messed up our booking for the 1st night even though we had it booked for about a month in advanced, we were sent to another hostel (although they ended up giving us a SMALL discount for that). The pool is nice and booking a buggy and boarding tour through them seemed to be the best value. There food is great but expensive and there are cheaper options in ¨town¨, and without Rosie this hostle would suffer, she´s amazing.

Amazing people! Loved it!! I felt very safe there!! I stayed in a 3 bedroom dorm with two of my other friends and had no problem (bring a lock for the outside door- they were not provided, but most travelers should bring a tough secure lock anyways-) Anyways, fresh fruit in the morning! Lunch was okay but the town is nice so explore!! Quiet at night ,social during the day .. PERFECT HOSTEL!!! Definitely recommend Banana Adventures

The best thing this hostel has to offer is the dune buggy tour with sand boarding. The tour was a lot of fun and I would highly recommend it. Not sure why they have a tent option listed as accommodation, since there really isn't anywhere to camp and you have to bring your own tent. They have a restaurant/bar. The prices and food are pretty much the same all around Huacachina. The dune tour is really the highlight of this hostel.

Really nice relaxed hostel. It had a really nice pool and hammocks to lie in. However, security was very poor - no lockers, way to lock the dorms and no door system or door man so anyone could let themselves in during the day or night. But I really enjoyed my stay here, it had a great atmosphere.

My only regret is not having spent longer than one night at this beautiful little hostel, and indeed Huacachina. Staff were great, dorms were really cosy and the beer was cold! The only thing i would say could be improved were the pillows, but that's being really, really picky! Would definitely stay again!

Luggage security is non-existent. Rooma are locked by a flimsy padlock, but can also be easily entered throughy chest-height windows that open widely. No lockers available. Other than that it was a great price for a "meh" hostel.

Hammocks, pool and good fruit meals and juices, with the background of the sand dunes! The buggy/sandboarding tour is decent, though not excellent. The staff is helpful and nice. No lockers in the rooms and no particular security at the entrance. Wifi is ok, but intermmitent. Overall a good place to stay.

Arrived and were placed in their sister hostel. Small cramped room with no natural light. Wifi didn't work however excellent sand duning tour and friendly staff. Hammocks and garden area were nice.
