What a fantastic hostel! Pete and Dicky go out of their way to help you all the time. The breakfast was amazing, was different everyday and the hostel was beautiful. Fantastic location right on the strip and near the beach. They arranged evenings all the time and day tours for the hostel guests to deserted beaches. We stayed 3 nights longer than anticipated and could have easily stayed 3 weeks. Pete thank you so much we had a brilliant time staying with you. Charlie x

Nice hostel with a fantastic atmosphere, there's something happening near enough every night. Owned and well maintained by Peter. However the true brains of the operation lie with a dicky Irishman, who will work courageously to ensure your stay is memorable. Came for two nights, stayed a week.

Good value for money. The staff are very laid-back and the atmosphere is great for meeting people. However the rooms are a bit small and the bathrooms are not that clean. But did not expect much better due to the low price.

A great atmosphere of laid back travellers, lead by owner Pete. The hostel has a real 'outdoorsy' feel as all of the common areas are outdoors (although many are under cover). There's the big breakfast table, the pool table, bar, chill out zone, garden and a small but nice camping area. Dickie's always around too. Thursday night is charcoal barbeque and live music night. Rooms are cleaned daily, which is nice. Pete's looking to install new wooden toilet seats ;)

If you are traveling to Itacare for surf, sun, and relaxation then Bananas hostel is the place you need to book. I originally intended to stay 10 days but enjoyed my experience so much that I ended up staying for 3 weeks. The rooms had daily housekeeping service and the daily breakfast was great as well. Most of all, the vibe is what makes this place special. Peter, Dicky, and the rest of the staff really know how to welcome weary travelers. BOOK THIS HOSTEL! You won't regret it!

GreAt vibe at this hostel. Staff is really cool And helpful. Really close to the beaches. The hostel also organizes a lot of dinners to bring everyone together at night.

Our stay at bananas was more than we ever expected. We planned on staying four nights but we ended up living at this cosy and super friendly vibed hostel for a week. Loved the staff -Pete, Debbie, Dickie and the others made our stay splendid together with the other guests. Thank you so much for everything guys. And whenever you come to Malmö we got room for you! 😉 Tons of love / support your local feminist Sara and Sebastian

Bananas hostel is one of a kind! The garden/bar area is spectacular! The owner Peter and his wife are super friendly and laid back. They are happy to host any party and were glad to host our friends 22th birthday. It is a bit hard to understand who live there "permanently" and who is just stopping by, but they are all really nice! Especially Dicky who spent his day off showing us a fantastic remote beach. Best breakfast in Brazil and perhaps best value for money as well. Love from Norway :)

I came back to Itercare following an awesome stay at Bananas last year. The atmosphere and staff really made it feel like home and bent over backwards to help me with arranging activities. I was travelling on my own but it was a great place to meet other travellers. Despite renovation work being carried out (it was low season), it didn't interfere with my chilling time one bit. Awesome bar and very reasonably priced drinks. Fantastic and generous breakfast too in a lush tropical garden!!
