The staff are nice and helpful. It is good that they provide free breakfast and they have a well equipped kitchen (but can be crowded if everybody is preparing meals at almost the same time).
I would not recommend if you're looking for a fun hostel. No atmosphere, its basically a bed in a room. For the price its not very good. Even towels cost extra. However for if you're looking for somewhere quieter with a perfect location its the right place for you. Personally I'd go to hibanff alpine for funfun and great facilities, or next door at samesun for location and they have a bar.
The Guys of the reception very friendly, patient and attentive.

Was a good hostel! Good location, good staff, good atmosphere the beds were bad though all good if your on the bottom bunk but top bunk feels like your going to break it and you wouldn't want to weigh more than 75kgs according to the sticker.
The room was very dirty, wet towels everywhere, really bad smell. The upper beds had almost no room between the bed and the roof, making it really uncomfortable. I wouldn't return to this hostel.
Great location and friendly staff and fast wifi. Our only issue was the smell in our dorm room, which was due to the stinky unwashed heaps of laundry of a guy in one of the dorm beds, but it's not the hostel's fault that some of its guests are slobs. We'd stay there again the next time we're in Banff.
