could be a tiny bit cleaner, room #12 is compleetly dark, next to stairs, rather loud. staff very welcoming, showing everything on a map, as its a bit far frome everything. free bikes, traffic is pretty wild;)
Would never stay anywhere else but here! The staff was so helpful and the room was basic but comfortable. A/c worked almost too good. Also wifi was always strong! I recommend this to anyone. Very impressed

Thanks a lot for our stay !! Nancy was really helpful and gave us all tips to have a lovely stay.
We had a wonderful stay at Banilah. The staff were amazing, very friendly, informative and helpful.
I loved how helpful and efficient the staff was everytime I needed them, helping me plan all my trips and also taking the time to make sure I knew how to move around the hotel. Also loved the laundry service, very convenient. The rooms were very clean. After traveling around Thailand after Chiang Mai I realized the bikes were a bit pricey, I have paid from 100 to 200, but I paid 250 a day at Banilah. Not big deal but just saying.
The cat cafe is so sweet and very clean. The employees are fantastic. So helpful with whatever you want to do and getting around.
Great service and friendly staff. good value for money
Hi Nancy, sorry that I didn't say goodbye to you when I checked out yesterday. I had to take a morning flight and went to the airport before 8am. I would like to say thank you to both of you. And if I come to Chiang Mai again, I will stay at your place again. Thanks again, and see you again!
A lovely place in a lovely city. Clean, comfortable, extremely helpful staff and the cats are friendly too! We had a very nice week here and whilst it's outside the old city walls, there are free bicycles. The neighbouring businesses are v nice too with a quirky bar run by a great lady called Kim just 30 metres away. Look out for a really cool Finnish expat who's a regular there! We'll be back again and again to the Banilah. Great accommodation!
Beautiful guesthouse - the staff are so helpful, the have great coffee and the rooms were lovely, would happily stay here again.
The place is very cozy and spotless. Although is not in the old city, is not far. It's very quiet. They welcome us with a orientation session of what to do in Chiang Mai,were to go and a map with recommendations. The staff has always great attitude. They were so nice to my wife when she was not feeling well and provided her with everything to help her.
Excellent hostel, amazing value for money. Super friendly staff. A bit far from the center but great place. Would recommend it.
I would really recommend Banilah. The staff is excellent, very friendly and helpful. Everything was really good, I have no complaints. There is also a bar downstairs, and they have cats, so it's a must for all the cat lovers.

Amazingly helpful staff, who are always willing to assist you in anything. Location is nice, but you'll see very few tourists; otherwise it's a nice area with food and coffee shops all nearby.
Great area for away from the crowds and fantastic value for money. The staff are very friendly and helpful and I would recommend this Banilah to anyone!
A great place to stay in Chiang Mai. A little far from the old town area but when it comes to eating this is a good thing as there are tons of local, really tasty little restaurants, roadside food stands and a big market close by to choose from. The staff are excellent, the rooms are clean, the little garden in the courtyard is cool... Really have no complaints! Stay here!
Excellent staff and comfy, clean room. However, if you have cat allergies you can't spend any time downstairs in the cafe - they have 11 cats! The location is a short walk from the city centre, but it is an interesting location with great local streetfood - and they have bicycles free to borrow.
First of all the hotel has a cat cafe which as a cat lover was awesome The staff were amazingly friendly and ready to help. They were very thorough with map details and the things that were around and time to get there. They helped with booking tours as well. It was my birthday and they left a little treat on my bed while I was out. So cute and they add nice touches like lollipops on the bed to say sweet dreams.
Had an awesome stay at Banilah! Staff was extremely helpful and friendly & their map of the city proves to be full of great recommendations (make sure to try the 'chicken rice' nearby). Room was amazing and very clean. I can highly recommend this place and will definitely come back. Thanks!
The staff was incredibly helpful! They took their time to show us a lot of great local shops and answer any questions we had. The cat cafe downstairs is adorable, and they serve yummy coffee. The room isn't anything super special, but it was clean and we felt safe. We'd stay there again for sure.
