Clean with good facilities - loved games/TV room. However on arrival (at 1:00am!) I was given piles of sheets & pillows & told to make my own bed, so couldn't slip quietly into bed like I'd hoped without disturbing the others. The location was not central but was very close to free buses and the train station so that was fine. The kitchen was poorly equipped - perhaps have crockery to rent? There weren't plates, bowls, mugs etc. The clothes drying area stank - relocate so not over a sewer?!

Friendly staff, clean hostel. Short walk to the free cat bus and train station. I had an early check out, but the staff makes sure that someone is there when you check out to give your bond back.

I couldn't recommend this place for anyone that's just passing through Perth, such as myself. It's full of people living there long-term and working in the area and it gives it a very different vibe to what I was after. It can be hard to get to meet people and you constantly feel as if you're encroaching on someone else's territory. Also, the kitchen equipment is inadequate, there are too few showers and a laughable number of plug sockets in the large dorms, which are extremely messy. Not fun.

Great facilities, great staffs, just a bit far from the city centre

Excellent hostel with amazing staff and a huge common area and kitchen which is always clean.

Solid hostel, gives you everything you need. The common spaces weren't my favorite, but they were decent. Good kitchen facilities, would get pretty crowded at the expected times but they have a ton of people staying there, so it's not a surprise. Close to the CBD and free buses.

There wasn't much of an atmosphere, the common room is really big so people naturally sit by themselves instead of being 'forced' to join others. Staff was really helpful, toilets & showers were ok.

Big hostel. Many permanent resident which aren't easy to get in touch with since they already have their own group. Massive common area which aren't best to meet people. Stay in the 24 bed dorms. It's big ! Lots of space to put your bags. Good security (electronic key access to the premise and rooms) + lockers in the room. Breakfast is minimal (only toast and jam) and often jam was empty (then you must cross the all building to ask for more...)

The only bad thing about this place is the location, which really isn't even that bad because you have the train station right beside you. I had a great time and would stay again. Lots of people looking for work stay here, so some have been living for months. I was just traveling through and it still was really easy to meet people. Huge warehouse where there is ping-pong, movies and dining area, kitchen is also nice. Just make sure you label your beer in the fridge, some people get thirsty ;)

This hostel is in a free transit part of the city which is nice. A lot of people working or looking for work in here that have been there for quite a while so you get a sort of old friend vibe going if you are traveling alone. This place is basically a warehouse converted into a hostel but it works out nicely :) Power plugs may be hard to come by in room especially if you are top bunk. Rooms are wide with lots of space. The staff is super friendly also :)

In my opinion this hostel is a good choose for a few days. It's cheap and the cleanliness is very good, for example the showers in the back. But I wouldn't stay there a longer time because the guests are a bit strange and claisebrook isn't so cool.

Great hostel, really friendly staff and fantastic facilities. Lots of areas to hang out and meet people. Really clean bathrooms and comfy warm beds.

Good spot to spend a couple nights. The staff were really helpful. The downside is the location. A good 20 minute walk from much of anything. The WIFI was unlimited and very fast.

Excellent staff. Very good mattresses, best linen I have encountered in a hostel. Atmosphere I felt is dimished becasue of a very large common area which does not promote close contact. Excellant wifi, though a few more conveniently placed power points would help.

The common rooms are too big which makes it unpersonnal and not very confy. The rooms are also very cold as they are so big and not windows to warm the place up. The hostel is only 15 min away from the city centre however there is nothing to do in the area, it is just an industrial area. However there is free wifi in the common room and toasts and coffee for breakfast, which is very nice.
