Perfectly fine, clean rooms and a nice 20 minute walk from town.

quite a nice hostel, each room has small fridge and aircon, nice to stay. Very close to CBD, about 10 minutes to Coles and banks. many bars next to it, also close to the waterfront. Just, the lounge is not so good, and there is no aircon in it, so most of the time I stay in my own room.

It's like an house, some people seems to live there since a long time, if you don't mind to live in a shared place it's very good. I saw there are also single rooms like every hotel, a friend took a single room and was good furnished, cleaned and quiet. I liked the garden and the hotel is on the main street of Darwin, a little far from the crowd but close to the main city anyway. If you don't search for luxury it's a very good place to stay.

Staying at Banyan View Lodge was an over all very bad experience. The staff wasn't at all nice and helpful, the entire place smelled bad and it looks depressing. It actually looks like a bunker and the rooms were very small, there's nowhere to put your bags. We left two days earlier than planned. The kitchen and the pool were the only good things. Sorry

The hostel even thou located slightly off the end of mitchell street was still in a great location only took 5 minutes to walk to croc cove, coles, and the bars. Room was clean, had a fridge in the room which was great (broke down but was offered to be swapped out as soon as i relized it was not working) Internet access was avalible at 2 points one for your laptop to be plugged in and one a supplied pc. Hostel does a no load noise policy after 10pm, as it aim's to be a family hostel.
