Barcelona 4 Fun Hostel Reviews

The hostel is generallly ok. The biggest advantage is of course location - really near La Rambla and sea. I stayed in double room - it was tiny and furnished in bed and wordrobe, however it was quite clean. The hostel gives the access to the kitchen and free internet connection. Do not expect luxury and you will not be disappointed.

This is a very basic hostel. When we arrived we were shown our rooms in which I found bugs on the floor. The shared bathroom is fairly disgusting with a shower head that spays everywhere but down. It seems very run down. HOWEVER...It is in one of the best locations walkable to everything and 2 mins away from Las Ramblas. On a whole I would not stay here again or recommend to anyone.

we waited outside of the door for about 10 minutes because no one was there and we could not get into the building. There was also no sign for the hostel on any of the buzzers so we did not know which one to press. we were given the wrong room. We needed two beds and they gave away the room even though we emailed the hostel before we left to make sure we had the room and they said we did. Melissa was amazing though. Airport directions were terrible and need to be fixed

Noisy place, but for 2 or 3 night stay is OK! Located in the city center...not far from all the actions and beach. Definitely the price is higher then it should be! A little bit messy and security level should be more higher...

There are a difference between the photos and the reality...but very kindful and nice staff and fantastic location-near the marina, beach and lot of places worth to see.

A bit noisy...the room was tiny with no window to the outdoors. They locked the kitchen at night so when we brought home food to put in the fridge, we couldn't. FYI, great restaurant at street level below hostel. We ate there twice and this helped to compensate for shortcomings of this hostel.

No Internet. Very poor kitchen stuff, no knives, no big spoon for the soups/stews, only one cooking heater. Very expencive - bad value/money.

NO breakfast although told differently on hostelworld!!!

we enjoyed the atmosphere and the staff. the rooms are very small and the bed was not so comftorble. it is pretty noisy no matter where your window turns. the location is excellent - you can reach every where by walking.

It is said on the website that the breakfast is included. Actually it wasn't! Barcelona 4 Fun should remove this wrong information from its website. The female staff working on 26. September was not very friendly and unhelpful. We lived in an apartment in a seperate building far away from the hostel. There is No lift in the hostel or the seperate building, very inconvenient. Our room was spacious but we found some insects in the bathroom. The hot water was not enough. Not value for money!!!

There is something nice about the place despite the fact that it is run down cheap hostel

When we booked the hostel it said that breakfast was included and when we arrived we discovered it was not. This should be removed from the website to avoid confusion/misrepresentation.

Hostel is extremely cozy, there is a comp to access internet and WIFI, a kitchen where you can cook, and a lounge area with a balcony. Security is extremely good as not only is the main door to our building locked at night (only hostel guests have the key), there is also a staff that keeps watch on who enters the building. Very neat, tidy and clean as staff cleans the entire hostel every day. Can do laundry. Good location as walkable to La Ramblas, shopping district and Barceloneta Beach.

The hostel's location is central just 5 minutes from the Ramblas, however the hostel is quite basic, there is no kitchen and the rooms are pretty much unloved without any decoration (just twin beds and a wardrobe). The lock was not working and we did not feel very secure to leave our valuables in the room. The room was also facing the street and it was very noisy. There is no lift in the buiding so that you need to carry your luggage up! The bathroom was clean and tidy but no towel was provided.

The hostel was very nice, but even though there was someone watching at night and telling the people who passed the hallway to be quiet, it sometimes even got pretty noisy. it didn't bother to much, but maybe for the future its something that could be improved a bit. But all in all the hostel was very clean, room and toilets/showers, and the people running the hostel were also kind. Another plus is also its location because its only about 3-5 min away from Ramblas in a nice little street

My sister and I had a great time at Barcelona 4 Fun Hostel. The staff were incredibly friendly and the location's fantastic. It's quite noisy - but I imagine that would be the case for all properties in the central Barcelona. I did, however, think the name was quite inappropriate - it's not really a party hostel (not that this was what we were looking for), but had I have been travelling solo, I think I would have found the space quite lonely. OTHERWISE, THIS IS A REAL FIND!

4fun hostel is a very nice place to stay with an amazing building with small terraces. Very close to la rambla or beach.

no breakfast and the beach is about 20 minutes away. The whole night a security stays at the front door- very safe ! Location is central.

By far the worst hostel I have ever encountered. We cut our stay short as we couldnºt face staying there any longer. No lock on bathroom door (shared with 9 strangers), no way to lock bedroom door from inside (after someone entered our room, we had to barricade ourselves in with furniture). The staff did not seem to care about our very genuine security concerns, and were both condescending and rude - the customer is always wrong and does not matter in this hostel. Terrible value for money.
