Our hostel was very insecure. Staff speak very poor English, didn't explain or inform us about anything. We lived in a small apartment in a seperate building far away from the hostel reception with the people we knew nothing about. That was really , really scary for two young girls checkin' in at 2 am in a foreign country :-(((

Fantastic location, although no social atmosphere. Not far from travel bar though so if you want to meet people, do a free walking tour through them. Very cheap and good laundry service - 5 euro. Double room pretty much only had a bed and a fan but good enough. Would recommend.

Great Location, couldn't be any closer to the action! Great for couples but not so great if wanting to meet people. Clean hostel and friendly staff, great kitchen also!

Didn't actually stay in the hostel. They rent out an apartment (10 minute walk from the hostel). We checked in at the hostel, they gave us the apartment key and walked us there, and we did not have anything to do with the hostel itself for the rest of our stay. The apartment we stayed in was VERY centrally located, incredibly easy to walk to sights, overall a great place to stay! Better to rent the apartment if you want your "own" experience and not interact as much with other travelers.

Location was quite good, but the sheets and the room were smelling bad and didnt seem clean enough. Some members of the staff were friendly, but some was arrogant and unhelpful.

Good location. Clean. Basic but nice rooms. With fan. Kitchen was ok. But not very fun, weren't allowed to drink in the hostel

It definitely is in a great location, but there are no lockers or breakfast facility. Rooms are big, but when it is hot, the tiny pedestal fan doesnt help much. But the people manning the place are very helpful and friendly. Guess for the location somethings need to be compromised.

Quintessential Spanish accommodation in the old town. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The kitchen facilities were fantastic. One small area for improvement would be a better lock for the bathroom. Other than that, this is a top notch hostel for the price and we'll definitely comeback when we visit Barcelona again.

We had a good stay here the staff were really nice and helpful and the area around the hostel had cool alleys where we got nice food. A bit hot at night with only a fan but otherwise no complaints

This hostel has perfect location and very nice staff. It has only two disadvantages, the price doesn't include breakfast and the hostel is located in the second floor, so if you have a lot of luggage it's not the best:) but on the other side everything was very clean, rooms are comfortable, so I would recommend it:))

To much noise. We have to sleep with the windows opened because the room was very hot, and did not have air conditioning, like said in the announce. So, we got not so satisfacted.

You can Say why is cheap. Noisy, warm (no a/c) and old. However has big rooms and confy Common spaces. the staff is very kind and the location is good, next to' the rambla and barceloneta beach. The area seems a bit dodgie but is safe.
