Barefoot Hostel Reviews

We stayed two nights at the Barefoot-Hostel and enjoyed it a lot. The friendly owner, a nice and comfy common area as well as the big bathroom with a good shower brings us to recommend this Hostel to anyone staying in Ottawa. If there is one thing to complain about it would be the kitchen which is a bit underequipped. A cooktop would definetely help here, as just a microwave was not enough for us.

I really enjoy my stay in Barefoot! It's one of the best hostel that I've ever stayed in. The location is really good..close to the parliament hill, byward market and other attractions. There's also a metro nearby too. The place is really clean and comfortable to live in. I'm amazed to see a well-equipped and nice shower facilities. I will definitely come back if I were to go Ottawa again. :)

Hostel is a converted house which was spotless and really well set out. I was in a bottom bunk in room 3 and it wasn't the comfiest but the duvet was great. TV and internet were handy also. No cooker in the kitchen though which was a hindrance but next to a 24 hour supermarket so could pick other things to use with the microwave instead.

The hotel is not far from parliament. The check in time is too late, just a 3 pm. The staff is very friendly. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. Good hostel.

The Barefoot hostel is an extremely clean & comfortable hostel (more like a B & B in many respects). However it is also a pretty quiet hostel and may not be the place to stay if you are looking to party and be social.

The best place to stay in Ottawa

The best hostel in Ottawa, for sure. And one of the best hostels around. Comfy and with character. FYI. It Doesn't have a stove though.

A nice hostel located in central Ottawa but not much fun there. You only go there to sleep.

One of the cleanest hostels ever with funky decor! :) I liked that you couldn't wear your shoes in this house renovated to be a hostel. Free internet use, clean sheets, towels, great hostel overall. Room was small to have 4 beds, and no lock on the door! Four rooms and I'm assuming four beds per room means that sixteen people have access to each others' things. Bring your own lock, as there are lockers. Two bathrooms made time in there a bit of a concern and no breakfast provided.

Not the best location as it\'s quite a walk to the center, but it is close to the train station. The staff was amazingly helpful, really great. The rooms were nice and clean. Good breakfast.

It was nice and clean. If I'll be there again I'm sure that I gonna sleep there
