The amenities were fantastic! as were the staff, very helpful but gosh, is the price for the dorms a bit high. don't get me wrong, the bathroom is the largest and nicest I've been in so far in the past 3 months, but I'm not too keen on the price to be honest.

Nice hostal, very clean and good organised!

Pretty small (only four rooms @ four beds) and cute, with a lovely atmosphere. Probably the best washrooms I\'ve seen in any hostel. However, no lockers! Still, one of the best places I\'ve seen, and I\'ve seen a few. Would book again.

It is a good lodging option, considering that there isn't plenty of hostels in Ottawa. It's clean and the staff is helpful. It's a small hostel with only four mixed (4 beds) bedrooms, nevertheless it wiil be better if they have more bathrooms (there are only 2 bathrooms in the whole hostel).

I have never been so impressed by a hostel.. this place is unbelievable! On every possible aspect Barefoot far exceeds the standard expected and goes on to provide one of the most comfortable, safe and enjoyable stays I\'ve ever had. Why stay in a hotel and be locked in a room by yourself when you can have this warm, safe, fun, well kitted out and homely experience. The other people were great company and the staff and owners were wonderful. I can\'t possibly recommend this place highly enough!

We stayed two nights at the Barefoot-Hostel and enjoyed it a lot. The friendly owner, a nice and comfy common area as well as the big bathroom with a good shower brings us to recommend this Hostel to anyone staying in Ottawa. If there is one thing to complain about it would be the kitchen which is a bit underequipped. A cooktop would definetely help here, as just a microwave was not enough for us.

I really enjoy my stay in Barefoot! It's one of the best hostel that I've ever stayed in. The location is really good..close to the parliament hill, byward market and other attractions. There's also a metro nearby too. The place is really clean and comfortable to live in. I'm amazed to see a well-equipped and nice shower facilities. I will definitely come back if I were to go Ottawa again. :)
