A short but sweet stay in Dublin with great, friendly staff & a brilliant location. We hope you enjoyed our leftover Jamesons as much as we think we enjoyed the rest of the bottle.

the staff were absolutely class! I showed up really early and they let me stow my bag for free the first day, and gave me access to the kitchen/common room before I checked-in and the second day when I had time to kill. Really great help and made my stay lovely.

Hostel was in a great part of town easy to get to and out from lots to do close by. Breakfast could use some work. Bread and jam is a little light.

Fantastic location, helpful staff and free wifi. Bit of a party location so if that's what you are after then definitely check this place out. Breakfast was ok, but not amazing choice.

Great hostel - right in temple bar and close to all major attractions and transportation. Good atmosphere and easy to meet other travelers here. Staff was helpful when questions were asked of them.

This was my first stay at Barnacles' and it was a very pleasant one. Great location, and very friendly and knowledgeable staff. The hostel is pretty much directly above the Temple Bar which can be a little noisy sometimes but that's why you are supposed to bring earplugs. If you are a light sleeper this might affect your sleep, but if you are a light sleeper then why are you staying in a hostel?

It's a pretty nice and cheap hostel in a fantastic place. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the breakfast good. It is noisier than in other hostels and the bathrooms are not that modern. Definitely recommendable hostel :)

It's a very nice hostel on a nice location. The only complaint we have that there is quite a lot of noise on the streets in the night.

My stay was easy, convenient, fun and exciting. The location is great if you want to go out to bars and the easygoing environment of the hostel is perfect for meeting people to go out with. If you don't want to be surrounded by bars it is not ideal, but it is perfect for a fun dublin experience. Beds and bathrooms were clean and comfortable, noise levels were a little high but definitely tolerable. It was definitely a great value.

An excellent value hostel in the heart of Temple Bar with nearby bus connections to the airport. Ensuite rooms with shower and decent beds plus average breakfast (toast, butter, jam, tea, coffee, juice) for a great price. Noisy in the streets at night, and again in the morning when the barrels of Guiness are being rolled up the cobbled streets (!) so not the best option if sleep is required. Otherwise fine with very helpful reception staff.

Central location, about a 15-minute walk from the bus station (which is a good thing!) - perfect for anyone interested in the bar scene, but also good location as it is less than a 10 minute walk to most touristy things in Dublin. It was a bit noisy at night as our window was looking out over Temple Bar, but this was expected and ear plugs sufficed. Typical hostel-style breakfast, no frills. Shower was decent.
