Bubblegum at beds really suck. A little more choices at breakfast would be great. But we would recommend it to friends traveling low budget and we also would come back for more.

good location. I have stayed here a lot. this time it was only averagre. the room was way too hot. too many people in such a small room. dont mind this if the price reflects it but it didint. Theother thing is i hate when beds have bed ends. If your tall like me it means you have to sleep all scrunched up which is not nice. BARNACLES PLEASE GET SOME BEDS WITH NO ENDS ON THEM

I checked in and literally less than five minutes later, I had a group of friend that I would spend the next few days with. This is a very good place to meet new people and the location is perfect. The beds are also quite comfy. But "breakfast" is just toast and juice and coffee. All in all, I couldn't have asked for a better hostel!

Barnacles is in the best location, and it is very nice! It is inexpensive, but it is very clean and modern! The ONLY problem is that the directions to get to the hostel (from the bus station at least) are SO confusing and awful! We asked locals for help, and they couldn't even point us in the right direction.

The wifi is terrible, in the common room you can't connect to many websites and it's always so slow.

Tere could be a little general updating and a good cleaning done in the rooms, but over all this in an excellent hostile.

The quality of this hostel depends largely on which room you get. Our room was MISERABLY small. It was impossible to do anything without being in someone else's way or playing suitcase Tetris, and the ventilation was awful so the room was always humid. However, we saw another 6-person room which appeared average. The desk staff was personality-less and frequently gave misinformation, and breakfast was literally just toast, which they started packing away before 9:30.

Can't see any reason not to stay here if you're in Dublin! Met a lot of great people in the common room, got some good recommendations from the front desk staff, and it's in the heart of the lively Temple Bar district. Beds aren't great, and they just give you toast for breakfast, but it's a hostel and you're looking for good value, so look no further!

The Barnacles was great and I would definitely go back! The location is perfect and close to everything! Of course if you are a light sleeper, you might want to reconsider because being in Temple Bar, you hear pretty much everything, all night long. For me it wasn't a problem, as i'm a heavy sleeper and most of my roommates just put their earphones in! The staff was super helpful and friendly. The laundry service is a little expensive and the breakfast is very light, but not too bad :D

Good hostel. thought it would be better. the only point i didn't like was that the room had only one shower so we lost too much time waiting for each other to shower or use the toilet. They should have another bathroom outside the room with more showers. Besides that the staff were really helpfull, lot's of young people, mostly americans, ready to share a drink and go out at night and the price really worths the stay there. Best part, just besides Temple Bar!

Hostel was good and in a great location. However due to the location it was very loud at night. Breakfast was also pretty lousy but staff were helpful and rooms were clean.

I've stayed here 3 times now, it's a great place. Amazing location but also it comes with noise from being on Temple Bar. Wifi in most of the rooms.
