It was hard to find hostel by foot but eventually found. Only stayed one night as it was the only hostel open for a double private room! It was nice though no AC and perfect airport shuttle early to the airport.

The staff were very friendly even though one of them was not interested in the guests' questions and issues. When it was working, the wifi was very slow, even on the two computers in the common room. The hostel is ideally located (walking distance of everything), but because it is in the center the rooms that have a window on the street are vey noisy in the morning (the bar across the street throw their bottles out at 7h30). Each guest has a locker and a key to the room (not all hostels do).

Excelent staff and location!!! Awesome atmosphere.

Customer service was unparalleled. They really go above and beyond anyone's expectations. The hostel also felt very safe.

I love Barnacles! Great location. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean!!

This hostel is located just in the center of famous Temple bar district! Should I tell you more? It is really cool to do pub crawl when you are living just next door to the all bars and pubs -- you don't need to worry about anything! Just drink and enjoy the unforgettable atmosphere of Temple Bar

The hostel has a very convinient location and the staff is very friendly.

The location was amazing!! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall my experience was great. Highly recommend. Wifi in all rooms, morning breakfast available (7am-9am).

The staff was really friendly. The room was big enough and bathroom was great.

My shoes got stolen, but the manager of the hostel managed to get them back because of the CCTV footage.

Hey, Not a problem. But you have to admit leaving your shoes in another room and then getting a 'friend' to leave them outside would make the shoes partial to a trip of their own. In any case spoke to the gent involved, he didn't seam surprised or saddened that we traced him. Bit of an odd situation all round, but all worked out in the end. 3 for security is unfair tho, Did I mention you shouldn't leave your shoes outside in the hall ?? All the best, The Crew

My friend and I (2 females, 25 y/o, Dutch) stayed here for a couple of days and we had a great time! The hostel as clean, the atmosphere was very relaxed, people (both staff and other guests) were very friendly. The hostel was big, but still cozy, we loved it. The location was great; in the middle of the Temple Bar area; restaurants and pubs nearby, (yet the hostel itself was very peaceful during the night). Overall a great experience!

Great staff and great location.

Excellent staff in a prime location, will definitely return.

great location in the middle of temple bar. hostel tries to pack in as much as possible, including one bathroom only for a room of 12 (and only one shared bathroom for the entire hostel of 200ish) which meant wait times were big. its quite a small hostel and has a lot of people, so even the common areas are crowded. but, you are paying for location, and that is what you get.

Otherwise I was very happy with my stay, but the wifi and public computers did not work which made it harder to make travel plans.

The location of this hostel was perfect, right near Temple Bar and a short walk to Trinity College and other major attractions. The staff were very knowledgeable and friendly as well. As some other reviews mentioned that showers are bit difficult to use, but for the price and location this is a very small discomfort. I would definitely recommend this hostel to anyone!

Good hostel with a very central location. Staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms were large and comfortable.

Wasn't wowed, particularly considering how well this place is rated. Awesome location (but most of the Dublin hostels are in the same area) for partying and reasonably priced. The bed allocation system is rubbish and leads to continuous middle-of-the-night mix ups, confused staff and upset travellers. The dorms are cramped (and thusly stinky), but clean. People only seem to hang out in the common room to watch movies, so it's not the best place to meet others and the best events (walking tour an

Great location right in temple bar!! Simple breakfast, clean rooms and kitchen, good wifi, nothing to complain about.

No negative comment about the hostel! Really great place to stay, great location, staff very friendly and good price!
