This place was a great location and the staff was very helpful and let me and others know about hidden spots in Dublin as well as the walking tour and pub crawl.

Great stay! A hostel where you can meet new people in the rad common room or just be alone, it's up to you! Good location in temple bar, but it can be a little loud on pub crawl nights outside. Clean, friendly and convenient!

I don' have a lt of time to type a huge review, but i just wanted to say my experience at this hostel was great. I was there during February and found plenty of great guest and people. The hostel was clean, nice, not to loud, and has everything within walking distance. Barnacles cost around the same as every other hostel so don't waste your time looking at a bunch of other hostels if they have availability here cause you won't find a better hostel in Dublin.

Great hostel right down the street from Temple Bar. Very safe, clean. Has a nice common area and kitchen. Rooms are a little cramped and its hard sharing one bathroom with 9 girls and one boy (poor guy) but overall I would recommend to others and stay there again. Staff is very friendly and helpful. They sell lots of traveling "stuff" at the hostel (locks, adapters, ect) if you forgot something. Front desk will reserve a van straight from the hostel to the airport if you ask, only 7E.

Pretty decent overall. Nice atmosphere, good common room (complete with the typical untunable guitar). It's loud outside every night, all week, since it is in the middle of the Temple Bar area, but that also makes for decent partying.

I have never before in my life been woken by a smell. . .Now, I must mention that this was in no way the hostel's fault. However, on my second day in Dublin, I had spent a long day out in the city, and came back to the hostel and took a nap. A new guest arrived and opened their bag, the most awful smell, like burnt cabbage. I could barely sleep the rest of my stay. Otherwise this hostel is ok. The staff are great and helpful. However there's not much of a "community vibe" here.

I'd say it's one of the safest places to stay when you're on a low budget in Dublin. The atmosphere is very youthful and the staff is nice, but this time there was some confusion about the number of people that were put into the dorm I was in, so we were woken up in the middle of the night by a staff member who wanted to find out who didn't actually belong into the room. That wasn't too nice. If you are a girl don't go into the 10-bed dorm because it is rather narrow and always full of guys.

Location couldn't be better. The common room was a bit small so difficult to get a seat if you wanted to stay in for an evening, but then again you can just go to one of the bars nearby instead.

It was awful, the whole floor above the kitchen stank of kitchen fumes. Starting from 7am in the morning the air reeked of old oil, had to leave as soon as possible

HI there, Someone burnt the their toast on the morning in questions, and yes it was pretty bad. People should not go back to bed after putting toast on, regardless of how good the Pub Crawl was the night before. Hope you will come again. :)

Great location right in Temple Bar. The staff was super friendly and very helpful. The accommodations vary from room to room. My first night I was put in a 4 person room that was very spacious. When I came back a week later I was placed in a 6 person dorm that was half the size of the 4 person room, despite there being two more beds. The hostel atmosphere is great, people seemed to be meeting other and making connections all over the place.

My biggest complaint is that the rooms were tiny and there was very little room to store large bags or move around. Other than this, the hostel was great with good common areas and an excellent location.
