If we didn't have a flight booked we wouldn't have left! It gets good reviews for a reason! Everything was awesome! The staff do all they can to make you feel at home. The lunches are very good and the dinners were like being at home! Best pasta ever!!!! The owner came and had lunch with us one day and just sat down like a mate! He asked us for suggestions and we all just sat there, we all loved it! Wicked bar staff, wicked cook! Deff stay there!

We had the best time at barra beach club. The staff were so friendly and made our stay really enjoyable. The breakfasts are brilliant. Really nice rooms, every bed has an individual reading light and storage drawer.....it's the small things! Free caipirinha every night, which were the best I've had in brazil and a great way to socialise. Then, an all you can eat dinner which was really good value and delicious. Also free surf boards/ Body boards.....really can't fault this place.

Really beautifull location next to the sea. The stuff is super helpful and friendly. Breakfast is really good and they have cheap dinners every night cooked by a girl, who cooks with her heart; Very tasty! The staff gives also great tipps what to do on the island! And: free Caipi from 7 to 7.30 every night! Thank you for the good time!

I had a great time at Barra Beach Club! The location is wonderful (though distant from the city center and airport), the landscape is awesome and the staff is the best! I will definitely go back there in the summer time!

Barra Beach club was an awesome place, and totally helped make our trip to Florianópolis one of the best I've ever been on. People were fantastic, drinks delicious, place clean, and the extra help they gave us was fantastic.

Location is in a remote (but absolutely beautiful) part of Florianopolis. It took us about an hour and a half to get there from the bus station. It was a really cool chilled out area though. The sandwiches and cake were amazing. Really friendly staff, cool places to chill out. The dorm rooms themselves were really small, but there were enough places to hang out that it didn{t matter too much. It was quite expensive though.

Easily one of the best hostels I've stayed in in all of Latin America. Beautiful setting above an almost private beach, close to a huge long beach and easy to access other beaches. Really friendly and helpful staff. Great included breakfast. Free use of surf boards. Free caiparinha every night. What else could you want!?

great location right on the beach but its not Florianopolis, Santa Catarina Island instead, 2 bus rides from the rodoviaria. Rooms were spotless and comfortable, in the privates anyways. The dinner in the evening was great as was the company there. Would highly recommend. Make sure to take a day to visit Logoainha De Leste at the south of the island.

It's a great hostel, the view from the balcony is really amazing and the staff is genuinely friendly and helpful. I also liked the fact that it is so close to the beach you can actually hear the sound of the waves from your bed... The area is quite safe too. I really enjoyed my time there and would defo come back!

Amazing place to stay overall. Had an absolute ball there! However, one of the laptops I used to put photos onto my USB ruined my memory card and therefor cost me an extra US$60 to replace it. I know this happened to someone else while I was staying there so be careful!

You can definitely understand why it has good reviews. The dinners every night were a great value, delicious and a fun way to get to know the other people in the hostel. One slight downside is that the hostel is on a pocket beach and not on the actual Barra de lagoa beach, as they may have you to believe. But that's just being picky!

An absolutely great hostel. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The (optional, paid) dinner each night was always delicious and very reasonably priced. The views from the hostel are great -- especially from the bar/deck area. Location might not suit those looking to head into Florianopolis proper regularly, but was great for us, given we just wanted a beach break somewhere relaxing.
