It was a great location with great proximity to a secluded beach. Ali was very helpful. I would highly recommend this place. We stayed in the 2 bedroom suite and it had air conditioning along with a ceiling fan. We couldn't hear anybody outside. We used the surfboards and snorkeling gear, although the water was not conducive to snorkeling.

This has to be, without a doubt, the best hostel I have ever stayed at in Brazil. The beautiful location, amazingly warm and attentive staff, great options that they offered of activities as well as the nightly dinners made by the Italian chef were all factors that made this stay one of my most pleasurable. The hostel is not very big in terms of capacity, so I never felt overwhelmed by a large number of guests. Automatic vacation mode as soon as you see the view from the Tower Bar :)

- Very old towels (mine had a hole..) - Ventilator in house 4 / room 3 doesn't work - R$10,00 deposit not retorned because check-out was after 5pm, even the reception working 24 hours.

Had an amazing time at this hostel, Great location, great facilities with an amzing set up offering meals of a night time where everyone eats and drinks together and the food was amazing. The staff here are the frendliest and most fun i have come across. Loads of trips to sign up for either boating trips on the lakes or concert/night club trips which the staff get involved and enjoying the experience with you. Location right on a secluded small cove beach & 5 mins Walk to the main beach.

It's an excellent hostel! There is a growing trend of hosteling for hostels that are extremely well organized, well worked out systems, run like efficient businesses by experience business people - this is one of them. I am more old school looking for the owner run, personal contact, smaller more location authentic style hostel, but Barra Beach Club is very good at what they do.

one of the best hostels we stayed at during our trip through south america. great spot overlooking the ocean, excellent food in the evenings and fantastic free caipis! only downsides are the mosquitoes and that the bathroom of the double rooms is not on the same floor.

The hostel is situated perfectly if you want to go to the beach. Just make sure you have had a look at the weather forecast before you go as there is nothing to do if it is raining. There aren´t a lot of restaurants, bars or supermarkets in town, just the bare essentials and the bus to Lagoa de Conceicao is rather long. The hostel has lovely views. House 1 was very clean and lovely but House 4 was more on the grubby side. The staff are lovely and helpful. The music they play is really bad though

Awesome hostel, awesome staff, everyone who works there made it for us. We were 3 guys and took the private rooms with the private bathroom which was cool, a bit more privacy. Great food in the evenings, I have forgotten their names now but would definitely recommend eating here. Seb the barman was awesome, he kept the drinks flowing. All the best guys, Rory, Pig and Tom - March 12-17 Cheers

Excellent hostel, great facilities cleanning and mainly the staff, they are amazing, miss you Helen! Don`t miss the dinner ! This hostel is more intended to people who wants to enjoy the beach and surf and less for extreme partying.

We had a great stay in that Hostel, we liked everything. Great staff, great bar and nice location. You have an amazing view from the hostel. The only thing is that we got a lot of mosquito bites!! Bring something cause it's surrounded by trees!

Amazing location on the beach. Only downside being the lack of ATM in the area. Lunch at the bar was a really good, as was the free wetsuit and board hire.
