A great hostel with a world class view. Probably not the place to stay if you want to party hard but still an outstanding hostel. The staff were fantastic and the facilities were super clean, thanks guys!!

Barra is a fantastic hostel. The staff are super friendly and very helpful, always going out of their way to make sure you are alright. The location is amazing, right on the beach however a bus ride away from an ATM. Great breakfast and AMAZING dinners, the bar area is second to none. Great people, great location and great atmosphere makes a great hostel. I love Lola too!

Barra beach club was one of the best hostels we have ever stayed at. The staff were so friendly, beautiful location, clean, and breakfast, lunch (thanks danny) and dinner were awesome! We had a great time during our stay for carnaval! We have recommended to all our friends we have met on our travels.

*I had to pay an average of US$ 70 / day in carnival. It's not cheap. The room is extremely tiny with 4 beds. No place to hang your cloths. *The location is extremely inaccessible, especially if you carry big luggage. *In addition, there's nothing to do in Barra da Lagoa at night *Be aware of mosquitos!

What a fantastic hostel. Amazing location right on the beach with the friendliest most helpful staff members. It was clear that the enjoyment of each guest was very important to them. Couldn't praise the place highly enough - had a wonderful stay.

Best hostel I have ever stayed at! You have to stay here! The staff are SO friendly and really make an effort to help you out with anything you need. There are organised pub crawls most night, but if you feel like visiting a club elsewhere on the island, the staff can make sure you get there on a transfer with drinks included and discounted club entry. Make sure you DO NOT miss the dinners every night cooked up by Laura and Nicole - probably some of the best food we ate while in Brazil!

This place is amazing. It's right near the beach, the staff are absolutely brilliant, really friendly and they join you on nights out so they become your friends. The rooms are arranged into houses with a couple of bathrooms in each house, and the cleaners come in 3 times per day to clean so it's immaculate. The rooms are slightly on the small side, but who cares when you know it's clean, you have your own plug and light by the bed etc. Dinner in the hostel for approximately R$20 per night brill

Great hostel with super friendly staff who try to make sure everyone has fun. Dorms are fairly small but it is a very clean hostel, they just need to replace their mosquito nets in the bedrooms (bring insect repellant). Perfect location right near a small beach, but still close to the main beach. Don't listen to staff food recommendations for buffets, unless you want food poisoning. I had a great time here, definitely would recommend it to friends.

I can't recommend Barra Beach Club highly enough! I've only been travelling in South America for a short time, but have had the displeasure of staying at some pretty average and poor hostels. Barra Beach Club was a wonderful exception. The staff welcomed me after an overnight bus journey and I felt instantly at home, it was unbelievably clean and if you're travelling alone like me, you'll have no trouble making friends...pay a little bit extra to stay here and it is worth it!

Barra Beach Club has easily become one of my favorite places I have ever stayed. I know my husband feels the same. AMAZING spot, fantastic views, friendly and fun staff. We really enjoyed our stay and wish we could have stayed longer. It has the fun atmosphere of a hostel but in our private ensuite room we had a balcony with a great view of the ocean. Loved every minute of it!

hostel is AMAZING. location is not near the downtown, but all the nice beachs are far away from it, so location is great, in front an amazing beach, atmosphere is great people are VERY nice, you ll be able to make LOTs of friends, the staff is AMAZING as well, they help you with EVERYTHING and they go out with you if they are on their day off! Breakfast is good, but dinner (15 to 20 reais) IS AMAZING, food is EXCELENT. I LOVED that place and IM GOING back 4 sure. Dont need to worry u ll love it!

Staff were fantastic, so helpful and super friendly. We had the double private, an amazing room with fantastic view. Great location also although because it's a little spread out you don't have as much interaction with other people as we dd at other hostels.

If I had the chance I would definitely rate this hostel 101%. Yes because the position is stunning, right at the beach and near a very chilled bar...the breakfast is rich and taken on a terrace with ocean view, you can use surf boards for free....dinner is great, prepared from an Italian chef.... BUT ALSO the staff gives you that extra service that makes you feel at home! Best hostel ever!!!! Thankss!!
