This hostel is a great place to meet other solo travelers, the atmosphere is really fun and homely. The breakfast is great and the rooms and bathrooms are cleaned everyday. The free caipirinha at 7pm creates a social atmosphere where you can plan the nights adventures with other guests. It's close to the beach, bars and supermarkets. The staff are really helpful and friendly.

Very clean, well run hostel. A little disorganized with the bookings and could maybe use a few more staff that speak Portuguese and English. Staff was super helpful with directions and advice however (and free Caipirinihas! and great breakfast:)). Highly recommended.

This was the second time I've stayed here and it is consistent with quality and service. Nick does a great job with the nighttime shift and makes people feel like you are staying at his house. Fun crowd and very bright & inviting common areas! I highly recommend this hostel!

The hostel is OK, but I wouldn't say it's the best hostel in Brazil at all... The girl who checked me in was very confuse and didn't have the keys to give me, didn't know in which room to put me, didn't get the payment when I arrive at night, just next day (and is not that she wasn't the person to receive the money). I felt her a bit not organized. The mixed rooms are nice, quite big and you have individual reading lights and a locker under the bed, with the lock included. In general is nice.

Free caipirinhas were a great touch, people were laid back and fun, near the beach and shopping. However, in the future, might be worth setting a maximum age limit for guests at 35-38? There were three really obnoxious and awkward older guests that greatly detracted from the loveliness of everyone else at the hostel.

Safe, homely place to stay in Salvador - easy going, easy to meet people, excellent service and value for money. Owner and staff only too happy to help out, especially the Australian guy at reception who is a real hoot! I can definitely recommend this hostel!

AWESOMEST. HOSTEL. EVER. When you see how cheap the prices are, you actually think that it should be a crappy dirt accomodation. Well, thats exactly the opposite. clean spacious dorms, offer towel, sell drinks for a good price, internet and laundry services and free cocktails at 19h! The atmospehre is really cool and the staff is AMAZINGLY NICE. it is 5 mns from barra beach. definitely a hostel to go to!!
