The plumbing was definitely lacking. All the sinks took way too long to drain. Also, the bathroom vanity was probably smaller than one you would find on an airplane. ...A very funy smell came from ours.

Barranco´s Backpackers is absolutely the best hostel we found in Peru. Its unexpensive, very clean and the staff is great! Its also a short walk away from the beach, bars, restaurants and supermarket. Thanks for everything, guy! Our time in Lima was amazing thanks to you!

My stay at Barranco's was wonderful. The staff is absolutely wonderful always wanting to chat and help you in any way they can. Chris is very willing to help out with anything; directions, what to do, how to get around, taxi etc. The location is phenomenal, near wonderful authentic restaurants, and the beach, and can enjoy a beautiful walk to Mira Flores easily. and it is close to a bus that can take you right down town. Love the staff, love the people, love the location. Doesn't get better.

The Barranco's Backpackers Inn is a great place to stay. It is located in the heart of Barranco district, overlooking the ocean & close to all the eateries and clubs. The crew that runs this place is one of the nicest I came across during my travels in Peru. Chris and everyone here is really helpful. Example: when I needed a taxi, one of the crew (Betty, i think) walked to the main street, hailed me a taxi and fixed the price for the ride for me, b'cos i did not speak any spanish. Great place.

Great hot showers, free towels and breakfast! Awesome location close to the action of Barranco. Cute hostel, nice family owns it. Recommend to anyone wanting to see the boho side of Lima. This paired with the Bike Tours of Lima is a great trip to Lima.

This was an awesome hostel!! The staff was very nice, and very helpful. Chris answered all our questions and even brought us outside and showed us part of the town and a little bit of history. The family that lives there was very nice, I played games with them and had a really great time. It is right on the ocean, and only a 30 min bus ride to downtown. The town is very safe and there where a lot of restaurants. I am going back for a night and am looking forward to it.

Perfect location, near the beach and near good food pubs, clubs etc. safe area. Hostel was great. Comfortable beds, cleaned daily and hot water. Only thing was that our room didn't have a key to lock our room. Chris was very helpful and helped us book buses and next leg of our jounrney. Would stay again.

Barrancos Backpackers is in a safe part of town. We arranged our taxi from the airport/our onward jounrey & day trips through the front desk-aka Chris & the girls. Our room had a view over the ocean- an extra bonus. Would defo stay again.

The staff was very helpful with directions, restaurant recommendations, a shuttle from the airport which is a must for late flights, and the pisco sours at the bar were tasty and a good deal. This was my first hostel experience, and a great one. Every day, the room was cleaned and beds were made which I have found so far to be a really nice touch. The showers were hot 24 hours like promised and there is a refrigerator in the kitchen you are able to use so you can save by cooking your own meals.

The owner, Chris was very friendly and helped us make travel arrangements for the next step of our trip. A great place to stay , especially when new to Peru. There was a taxi waiting for us at the airport, which is essential to have when arriving late at night. Somehow our driver was able to negtiate the insane Lima traffic and Maze of backstreets to get us to the hostel quickly and safely. The Barranco/Miraflores area is very upscale compared with other Peruvian neighborhoods
