We met some great people here. The room was big and airy but there were glass panels missing, which were by the upstairs roof and the resident dog constantly yapped through it, which was annoying. The staff were OK but not outstanding.

We just spent 4 nights at Barranco Backpackers Inn and found it the perfect choice for our time in Lima. Our double room on the 2nd floor had a lovely view over the ocean and the room was nice & clean, comfy bed, cable tv, private bathroom. Barranco itself is a lovely place with cafes, bars, supermarket etc very close to the hostel. We are glad that we chose to stay there over central lima or miraflores, which were very easy to reach by taxi or bus. Highly recommended!

A quiet hostel located next to the ocean with a definite Bohemian feel to it, I stayed there 4 days in April and another 4 days in May before flying back home. You don\'t get much traffic noise or diesel fumes like in downtown Lima, and there is a cool breeze coming from the ocean which I really liked. Overall the place is clean and comfortable and worth checking out if you are staying in Lima for more than a day.

Nice place with good communal areas and comfortable beds. It felt a little bit pricey for a dorm, but the price seemed to be on par with most Lima hostels, just a slightly more expensive city I guess. Good place overall though.

If you are looking for clean facilities, friendly staff, and a great location, this hostel is perfect for you. Even with a late arrival, we were able to get booked into our double room no problem. Nothing is more refreshing after a long day's travel than waking up to ocean views and a complimentary breakfast. The staff helped us organize all travel arrangements - they ordered tickets, had them delivered to the hostel, and arranged taxi service for the following day. I would gladly book again!

This hostel has excellent location, situated in bohemic area with beautiful restaurants and cafes and as well few minutes walk to the ocean whole neibourhood has cheerful atmosphere and staff is frendly and helpful. The lady explained us how to get to down town and she borowed us metropoliten bus card so we saved money on buying new one.

I really enjoyed my stay at Barranco\'s despite that I was sick during most of the time I was there. I\'ll definitely stay there again if I return to Lima one day. I liked the staff and especially Paola who was very kind and helpful.

I was only there for about 8 hours. Plane landed late and I arrived and went to sleep. Everyone I met there was really nice. And the lady working was sweet. Id rather pay 20 or 30 more soles for a single room though. Was a really good experience at backpackers and would stay again.

We really enjoyed this hostel, we booked further nights in it. It has a lovely cosy feel to it, the rooms were basic but very clean and the wifi and computer worked well. There are staff at the door 24 hrs a day so it's very secure and no one can wander in without the staff knowing who they are. The location is right by the central square in Barranco, but on the quiet side near the beach so the bar noise doesn't disturb at all. The owner Chris is a nice guy too

Excellent overall. Only slight qualm was the breakfast, would probably have preferred some cereal over the dry bread rolls!

Hi , thanks your for review and coments, much appreciated. Just so that future potential guests do not think breakfast is dry rolls, breakfast is 2 brown bread rolls, butter, marmelade, banana, coffee and choice of black tea or herbal tea. cheers again, chris

not really sure why this is so highly rated. the staff come off as rude, don't think it's intentional but clearly not trying ver hard to seem friendly and helpful. Was here on a weekend and no real atmosphere. Barranco is a cool area to stay in though.

Hi , thanks for your review. Its a bit strange though and maybe you needed to join in with the others. As for your comments on the staff, strange as well, other people just need to look at comments by other guests to see that your comments are unusual. Shame you did not enjoy the hostel. chris

The plumbing was definitely lacking. All the sinks took way too long to drain. Also, the bathroom vanity was probably smaller than one you would find on an airplane. ...A very funy smell came from ours.

Hi , sorry you were not happy with the plumbing and its the first time we have ever been told about a funny smell, we have checked it and no smells. As for the bathroom vanity im not sure how many hostels have big vanitys but weill look into it for you. shame you were not happy. thanks for your comments anyway.

The only regret that I have is that I did not book this hostel for the first 3 days that i was in Lima. It is absolutely close to the nightlife spots and lots of great restaurants. The hostel itself was very very clean and very colorful. I stayed in a double twin room with a small view to the ocean and it was great. Again, I wish I would have stayed more than just one night there.

It was a great clean hostel with a nice open are for eating and steps away from the rocky beach. It's in a great upscale neighbourhood and the staff are very helpful and it's kept clean. Overall a great hotel in Lima - they were very accomodating to whatever we needed and since it's a smaller hostel there aren't any crazy parties but you do get their undivided attention.
