Hostel is ok for pre and post accommodation for the whitsundays, however the first room I stayed in was overflowing with ants and the bathroom was disgusting, dead ants and insects everywhere. Second room was nicer but was on the second floor.

An ok hostel, atmosphere wasn't amazing and the 4 bed dorms ensuite was gross. A massive bath with a shower and no screen or curtain so the floor got soaked. Staff weren't very friendly. The girls only dorm 'sanctuary' pack is a nice touch though- towel, and free shower gel etc.

This, together with Nomads (They share the grounds) is just a night stay place before or after your whitsundays trip. Its fine to sleep, rooms are okay, aircon is nice. Would not stay longer in Airlie beach for there is not much to do, especially during the day.

Couldn't check-in till 2pm which is annoying when most Whitsundays trips arrive back and 11am. The room was a standard hostel room and it was good to have a bathroom in the room although it wasn't particularly clean and the shower head was so low you had to squat to wash your hair - as a person of average height. Down under bar has cheap drinks which is good and its a good hostel if you're wanting to go out at night.

You have to pay for everything as additional here!!! The wifi, parking, to store your luggage. You have to leave a deposit for cutlery and dishes, and wait in a huge queue to get them from reception, and to return them for your money back. Dorms are nice and private bathroom. Dorms are clean and functional. Communal kitchen was disgusting, dirty with loads of flies. Once you had cooked there were only two bench tables to sit at, which was not enough for everyone there. No alcohol allowed.

The bathrooms weren't very clean, power points in kitchen area were not safe to use with the kettle, we had to boil the water in our bathroom if we wanted a hot drink.

I have mixed feelings about this hostel. PROS - Room was huge - Plenty of room to sit up in bottom bunk - Big property with a lot of picnic tables and hammocks - Walking distance to everything CONS - Fee for Wifi - Fee for parking ... NOT cheap - Fee for locker - No decent indoor lounge area - Bathroom has weird unusable spa tub, with shower head, but no shower curtain so water goes everywhere - Bathroom was not clean - Ants in kitchen (& inside electric kettle)

Standard bed with shower room. Dont really see or know who staff are except receptionist. Have to pay for wifi and if using data its slow in the rooms. Clean and kitchen area was good except you have to pay deposits for cutlery and equipment which is a pain if in a rush.
