In a pinch, yes I would stay there, but with a choice no! The staff never seemed as if they wanted to be there and we not at all helpful when asked questions. Globe bar downstairs is fun, but very noisy if you need to get a nights sleep. Given how widespread Base hostels are throughout Australia and New Zealand, you would think they could provide free wifi, if only for a certain amount of time per day.

The rooms had no ventilation and I couldn't check in till 12 in the afternoon. Other than that it was pretty awesome

it is noisy if you are near the street, but had my own fridge for all people in my room to share, which was a bonus!

Check-in and check-out was an total cluster-f*ck. Our room was being used by a staff member when we tried to check in, screwed up room-type and argued that I had booked a double when I hadn\'t. Room was full of ants. The elevators were terrible as well stopping on the wrong floor all the time. Staff also didn\'t know much about anything outside the hostel.

Huge common room. Rooms were very clean but restrooms always seemed continually in a bit of disarray.

Not the best Base I\'ve stayed in, bit shabby round the edges, it\'s huge with dodgy elevator but very central!

Place was in a great loaction. Staff was great except for one girl who was very very SLOW! We stayed in a double bed room which had no window with paper thin walls. So to sum up great location, probably great party hostel but for a couple there's better places out there,
